Your super fast shipping saved me! Our old handle was leaking at the base and when we finally got around to replacing the washer inside, the set screw was impossible to remove and we stripped it out. Ended up having to drill out the old handle to get it off. Imagine my shock when I came into the kitchen and saw a set of shiny vise grips where my handle had been! ( They worked but just didn't look quite as nice! ) I immediately got on your website and ordered a replacement handle. It arrived within 2 days! Being able to replace just the handle and not the whole faucet saved us a lot of money. I love your site and your prices. Thanks

Would this lever have been popular in 2001?
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP28898 was first manufactured in 1999 so it was available in 2001. We do not have any information as to whether or not it was popular.

What is the black square and vertical streak on the handle?

Thank you for your question. The photo of the RP28898 Handle Assembly shows a glare on the reflective, Chrome Finish. This will not show on the actual part.

How long is the metal level handle? (4&1/2 inches long is my space limit.) I ordered the 470-DST; however, the handle is too long.

What are the dimensions of the handle? Thank you.

Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta handle RP28898 dimensions roughly from the front tip to front bottom tip is 4 9/10". From the back of the handle to to the tip measures roughly 3 7/10", the bottom bevel is 1 1/3", width 1 1/8" and the diameter of the base is 1 7/8".

How deep is the hole in the handle that the ball stem goes into? Alternately, how log is the stem on the ball that goes into the handle? I think my renter changed either the ball or the stem because the handle sits too high above the base. Thanks
