Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brand New Drain Plug Leaks I just had a plumber install a new spa tub faucet and drain. I went to use the tub for the first time and the tub drain stopper will not stay down. The one time I got it to stay down, it was no providing an full seal and the water was leaking thru so the tub did not stay filled. Looking at reviews, I see this is a recurring problem. How can this be such a poor product with such a high quality name like Delta!

The satin stainless finish looks incredible and coordinates perfectly with my Delta bathroom setup. Installation was quick and straightforward with just some plumber's putty. Best of all, the pop-up mechanism works effortlessly and actually holds water completely tight—unlike so many other drains I've used in the past. Highly recommend!

It is a very cheap plastic cartridge, and not a premium part worth $130. Are replacement cartridges available instead of buying the entire drain plug assembly?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopper Broke Off My drain started draining slower so I tried to unscrew the stopper so I could properly clear the drain. The stopper wouldn't even budge. Eventually I turned it hard enough to snap it right off. Even though this was meant to unscrew, it did not unscrew without breaking. Very bad design.

The drain plug in the Delta RP31558CZ Tub Drain no longer latches in the closed position when pressed, nor does it release when pressed a second time. How do I remedy this?

Does Delta make a basket or something to fit inside this drain to catch hair? seems like when you unscrew the top a basket would fit in that space. Does it exist?

How do I remove the push down part to clean the drain with a snake. I have tried to unscrew it and have not had any luck.

I am replacing the roman tub faucet assembly and would like the drain trim to match.  Can I unscrew the existing drain plug assembly that goes thru the bottom of the tub and install a new color matched plug, all from within the tub?

The waste plug flange is 1 1/2" and the waste plug threads are 5/16" -16 threads. We do not manufacture a drain assembly for a roman tub/jacuzzi/whirlpool/garden tubs. Best regards, Tanya

I received this item new off Amazon and it does not have the nut/screw to attach the drain to the tub. Is this something that needs to be ordered separately. If so it is not specified.

When installing this what should be used just the gasket, plumbers putty, or silicone?

The gasket will go on top of the bath waste Ell that is under the tub. The clear silicone will go under the waste plug, then be threaded into the drain ell. Please wipe off the excess silicone.
