Does not work
Mine worked for three months, then began leaking water and making a loud humming noise. I called Delta for a replacement and the replacement does the same thing. Sounds like a fan running but it is the rubber piece vibrating and no adjustment will stop it. Plumber said he has not seen this before. Does not stop water from draining. Now I have to switch out to the lever assembly and pay for the part and labor to replace in order to match the finish! :(

pretty, but doesn't work
love the finish but honestly the stopper doesn't work at all. can't get the tub to hold water. guess my daughter will be in the infant tub until she's old enough to shower...

Drain Waste Plug Too Large For Existing Plumbing
I am remodeling my master bath & have replaced ALL shower, vanity & tub fixtures with Delta units from the Linden collection in Champange Bronze (very good quality & modern finish). The last items I ordered were the bath tub drain/stopper assembly, RP31558-CZ (Champagne Bronze). The indications/information on the Delta web site showed it would fit a 1 1/2" waste pipe assembly (no dimensional spec sheet was available). After receiving the RP31558-CZ assembly, I find that instead of being 1 1/2" diameter (measuring across the threaded portion that screws into the pipe/fitting assembly under the tub), it measures 1 3/4" diameter. Given the fact that the option to replace the drain pipe/fitting assembly to match the RP31558-CZ under the tub would be near impossible without removing the entire tub, I was in a real "pickle". I finally called Delta Customer Support and after a long research period, the agent found 2 individual parts (RP16686-Toe-Operated Stopper & RP16687-Toe-Operated Waste Plug) in 1 1/2" diameter, but they were not available in Champagne Bronze. It is manufactured in Brilliance Brushed Bronze. The good ending is that Delta is providing these new parts free of charge. I am hoping that it is close enough in color/shade to Champagne Bronze that it will not be noticeable in the bottom of the tub.
I suggest:
1) Other customers be VERY careful when ordering these drain assemblies as a replacement in an existing tub.
2) I hope Delta will provide more detailed/accurate spec sheets on these types of parts.
3) I suggest Delta manufacture the RP16686/16687 in Champagne Bronze.

Doesn’t work
The plug part doesn’t hold down when closed, so it doesn’t plug the water. Disappointed because I emailed Delta for the malfunction and they have yet to respond . No bubble baths over here.

Works well!!
This stopper is well made, sturdy and easy to use. This is my first toe stopper so I really don’t have anything to compare it to but it seems to be a quality product!

This product has not help up. Drain assembly came apart shortly after installation. Tried to use the screw plug, but did not work.
I am unhappy with this product. The plug unit did not work properly, and came unscrewed. Cannot seem to get this to work properly.

Chrome looks nice, but DOESN'T FIT
Product description lists this as appropriate for a 1 1/2" drain connection. Our drain opening is 1 5/8", but the outside diameter of the threads on this part measures 1-7/8". How is that supposed to fit a 1-1/2" drain???? Now I don't know if 1-1/2" drain connection means the threads are routinely larger than the 1-1/2" diameter listed (and thus no drain assembly described as 1-1/2" drain connection would work in my tub) or if the description for this product was incorrect. How can anyone order this for a remodel without detailed information like that?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchase several items from this vendor and all have been well priced, arrive on time and are very good quality. I couldn't find a Champagne Bronze tub stopper and toilet handle and they had them is stock - so they always seem to have a good selection.

Won't fit
Cannot be used to replace a twist and close drain and Delta doesn't make a smaller option. Having redone two bathrooms in Delta products in champagne bronze I now have to search for a tub drain in a similar color.

It took a long time to match this color.
I purchased Champagned Bronze fixtures last year. No supplier at the time had the tub drain stop and overflow plate so I'm very glad to see them. Works fine, except they were too small for the cutout in my tub. We had to find a bushing locally to adapt it. Beware, this finish seems mark from every fingerprint and it doesn't wipe off with a rag or any cleaner. All I've been able to do is rub all areas with my hands to make the patina cover evenly. I'm really disappointed in that for all the fixtures I purchased in Champagne Bronze.

Poor mechanism - not working.
After 2 years the lift jammed up and stopped working. I took the lower assembly (plastic parts) of the lift apart, soaked it in vinegar and gave it a thorough cleaning because I thought it might be calcium or crud buildup. The buildup was negligible but it is super clean now! To no avail... It is the plastic - and is still jamming.

What is the actual size?
Home depot advertises the size as 1 1/4", some reviewers had problems because they say its actually 1 3/4", but your website gave feed back to a question that stated the size to be 1 1/2". Just want to verify what the actual size is before ordering.

I have a 33 year old tub that I don't think has threads on the drain. Do you make one without threads? We installed the Porter shower/tub combo.

I am having trouble removing the stopper to unclog the drain. There is no installation documentation on the website to help me figure out how to remove it without damaging the hardware. would you be able to provide the manual/installation documentation
