Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Prodict Used this product as a a replacement for worn stoppers, it was easy to install, works great, and matches perfectly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drain plug will not stay down. Was not able to use the tub even one time. The drain plug will not stay down to seal the drain. It is a very cheap plastic cartridge, and not a premium part worth $130. Are replacement cartridges available instead of buying the entire drain plug assembly?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopper Broke Off My drain started draining slower so I tried to unscrew the stopper so I could properly clear the drain. The stopper wouldn't even budge. Eventually I turned it hard enough to snap it right off. Even though this was meant to unscrew, it did not unscrew without breaking. Very bad design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Haven't even been installed a week and this drain assembly will not function properly. I thought better of your products Delta. You definitely need to have this re-engineered because what I have is a useless peice of junk. And I'm not the first I see.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from read all the bad reviews bought this for the color/finish to match despite the poor reviews...Figured they must be doing something wrong. NOPE Tub drain lasted maybe 5-6 uses and it broke and won't engage/disengage I'm a contractor and bought this for my own home and its just as all the reviews say. Top dollar for low quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Finish Poor design. The stopper gets stuck and the venetian bronze finish has completely come off. Deltas finishing process isn't the greatest. I have spent over $4000 on delta products from shower to tub to faucets for the sinks.

I need a tub drain like RP31558CZ but about 1/8 th inch smaller with fine threads - is it available and if so what is the part # for champagne bronze finish? My old one that we are replacing has a twist and drop down stopper. Thanks

Asked by: Barbara
Thank you for your question, Barbara. Unfortunately, we do not have a drain flange with another kind of threads. We recommend shopping locally or online for a suitable drain. Best regards, Jon

Can you revise your specification DSP-B-RP293_Rev_B.pdf (& other related Spec Sheets) to show the exact diameter of the threaded area of the bath tub drain/stopper RP31558? Apparently, there was an "old" standard size & now a "new" standard size.

Asked by: dontx1945
Hi, Dontx1945! Thank you for your question. We will work to update the technical specifications. In the mean time, here are the measurements for the drain flange: Outer Diameter: 2.83" Inner Diameter: 1.60" Depth: 1.37" Shank Threads: At least 1" long with .3125-18 UNC-2B threading. What is the actual size?

Home depot advertises the size as 1 1/4", some reviewers had problems because they say its actually 1 3/4", but your website gave feed back to a question that stated the size to be 1 1/2". Just want to verify what the actual size is before ordering.

I am purchasing Delta shower + faucets in Stryke, and would like to purchase a Delta bathtub in 60 inch alcove size, in white, that will allow me to have MATCHING drain in Champagne Bronze. Can Delta provide a list of its bathtub models that would fit?

Asked by: Meli
Thank you for your question, Meli! Our drain flanges are a standard size that should fit most bath waste assemblies as well as all of our tubs. Please be sure to check with the Technical Specifications Sheet for the tub as well as the Maintenance and Installation Manual for the Bath Waste Assembly to be sure they are compatible. Asked by: Jim
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP31558CZ is a toe operated bath waste assembly. The user operates it with their toe and push it down to close and then again pushes it to open it for water release.

Do I install “as is” or can I remove the rubber gasket/washer and use plumber’s putty?  I installed it using the washer and the top of the lip of the drain is about 1/16” above water level.  I’m afraid to screw the assembly in any tighter.  Thanks!

Asked by: whking52
Hello Whking52, Than you for your question. The rubber gasket around the stopper assembly is not designed to be removed. The gasket helps seal and close off the drain, when trying to hold water in the tub. Best regards, Tanya

Are drains in jacuzzi tubs larger than in standard tubs?

In one bath we have a standard tub/shower and in the master bath we have a jacuzzi tub. The drain seat looks larger in the jacuzzi tub. Does Delta have polished brass drains to fit both? If so, please provide model numbers for each. We are planning to replace both because the brass finish is wearing off. These drains have likely been installed for about 25 years.
Asked by: Milt
Hi Milt, Thank you for your question. We do offer a waste and overflow that will work for your bathtub. We do not stock a unit that fits the deeper jacuzzi tubs. The drain assembly part # is RP391PB for the trip lever style that will fit your normal bathtub. Thanks, Dave
