PRODUCT FEATURES
Dual-function valve cartridge maintains a consistent water temperature from one shower to the next. Monitors water pressure to balance temperature. All Delta® tub and shower faucets are engineered to keep the water temperature within a safe ±3.6° F (±1.7° C)*. This technology makes sure your family doesn’t experience a sudden and possibly unsafe change in water temperature as a result of running water elsewhere, such as using a dishwasher, flushing a toilet or running a washing machine. The valve cartridge features an adjustable handle limit stop that, when properly set, helps ensure the handle cannot be turned to a position that is too hot for comfort*. Easily replaced seals make maintenance a snap.
Comes with all Delta pressure balance tub and shower faucets.
*Requires inlet water temperature be set correctly. May require seasonal adjustments.

Just what I needed

Your initial reaction might be, "awe dogonit....".
At least that is what I thought. It doesn't look like the original equipment that was in my faucet control. The good news it works just fine. My shower is back to 100%. Don't be discouraged, it'll work like new!

Bought the replacement cartridge last month. Had NO idea what I was in for because I never saw a unit like this before. Turns out that it was easy to install and made my life easy for that day. BUT ! I asked for the assembly because I thought I was getting everything I needed. Unfortunately when taking the unit apart, I found a plastic clip in the back of the casing. There was a screw but couldn't take the plastic clip out. Not knowing what it was or if I needed to replace anything inside, there was nothing left in the assembly to do that and the picture didn't show it. So I put everything back together and it works fine. Wish I knew what that clip was all about. I will recommend this site to my colleagues.

shower cartridge assembly
My shower faucet was leaking badly. After researching the internet, I made a call to the company. I was immediately connected to a sales person who answer all my questions and made sure that the part I was looking for was the correct one for my faucet. It arrived 3 days later, earlier than expected. Installation was easy and it is working like a charm. The gentleman that helped me was very helpful and professional. He also told me if I had any problems with installation to call him back and he would be happy to assist me. That is real service! Thank you!

This was the second one I ordered of this same part for two separate showers. My showers were just missing handles and needed the valves to be replaced but had never really been used. This one we ordered did NOT come with the back set of washers. Thankfully we didn't need them so I didn't send back the whole thing, but that would have been a giant pain if I had needed them.

I bought a Delta Porter In2ition 2 in 1 shower faucet and shower head. I installed a new RP32104 cartridge but clearly the faucet handle doesn't have the temperature limiting feature. Can I order a handle in bronze to match that has the temp control?

We were hoping to replace a 22 year old Moen (Monticello) shower valve and trim with this new Delta valve/cartridge and Bronze trim.
Will it be possible to use the Delta T17278 set that we have purchased in this application without removing the marble wall? Can I extract the Moen cartridge and put the Delta in? Should the rough-in valve be replaced too?

Hi Dan,
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, our products will not work with the existing rough-in valve. If you have access from the other side of the wall, replacing the valve with an R10000 rough-in will allow you to install the T17278.

Which cartridge
I have a dual finish shower fixture in a home I recently purchased. The home was build in 1999. It has a separate control for the water and the temperature. I believe it is the Monitor 17 series based on the Delta Faucet website. I need a replacement cartridge and I am getting two different part numbers. One is RP46463 and the other is RP32104. Which one is the correct one for my shower?
Hi Dale, Thank you for your question. If the faucet was installed in 1999 the RP32104 cartridge will be the correct cartridge. The easiest way to tell the difference between the 2 cartridges is the color of the top of the cartridge. The top of the RP32104 will be white and the RP46463 will be gray.

Thank you for your question, Philip! TheRP32104 cartridge has a rotational limit stop to allow for hotter or colder water. Information on making this type of adjustment can be found on page 6, Step C of the Maintenance and Installation manual below.

Trying to Update trim
I have the old version faucet of 1700 series with the cartridge assembly # RP32104. I'm wondering if I would be able to use this trim Model #: T17T455-SS. If you could give me some advice. Thank you
Hi Munguirick, Thank you for your question. The model T17T455-SS thermostatic tub and shower trim will not work with your existing 1700 series rough in valve. You can use the T17455-SS pressure balanced trim. The new trim will ship with a new cartridge. This cartridge will not fit your existing rough. You would have to continue to use the existing cartridge or replace it with a new RP32104.

I have a Delta Monitor 1524 PBSHP Shower Faucet that is leaking. Can I replace the cartridge assembly with RP32104? If so, can I use the existing trim and handle or would I have to change trim and handle too?

In the off position, my tub spout has developed a slow drip/leak. Do I need to replace the entire cartridge or will replacing just the springs and seats with RP28603 solve my issue?

Thank you for your question. If your tub and shower faucet is just dripping from the spout, when not in use, then I would suggest replacing the RP28603 (new number) seats/springs and quad seals would need to be used. If the leak persists, then the RP32104 (new number) cartridge assembly will need to be replaced.
