Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect replacement There are minor differences between the original and the replacement but so what! Every part needed to replace my 15 year old faucet. Installation took 15 minutes. Matches the stainless steel faucet mount perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beats buying an entirely new faucet. This new faucet head replaces the one that came with original valve set I installed about 14 years ago. The aerator threads were shot on the original and the stream/spray button finally quit working. I wasn't quite ready for the expense of a complete new valve set. I was surprised and disappointed that just the head and hose for a 14 year old product costs nearly what the entire valve set cost me originally. Also, the new woven plastic host that came with it is not compatible with the original base unit. Thank goodness I had bought a braided steel hose four years ago that is. I'm a Delta customer from as far back as 1974, and I remain loyal, mostly due to the easy maintenance of the single lever seals, etc.. Anybody need a brand new replacement hose for a Delta RP32542? i wonder what that's worth.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Replacing Faucet Wand The hose that came with the wand was not compatible with the fixture resulting in 2 kitchen floods when it became detached. Ended up engaging a plumber to remedy the situation. The total cost for the wand from you and the plumbers services exceeded the cost of a new fixture. Not a good experience.

Q&A

The wand assembly I ordered does not have the slotted end or clip that attaches under the sink. How to attach?

Part RP32542. I am referencing the hose attachment
Asked by: Kriss
Hi Kriss, Thank you for your question. The new RP32542 wand assembly ships with the hose for our DST faucets. You can unscrew the wand from the new hose assembly and reuse your existing hose. If you want to replace your old hose you can order a new RP44647 hose that will have the slotted end and clip. There is not a way to adapt the new DST hose to the older style hose connection. Thanks, Dave

Replace plastic part that fits into the wand assembly?

Can I replace the plastic part that fits into the wand assembly without replacing the entire wand? It screws onto the water hose and pops out easily from the wand by pressing the release. See attached picture of the part.
Asked by: Roger
Roger, thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model #RP32542 does not have additional repair part numbers for the pieces located inside. The entire wand assembly would need to be replaced.

Is Artic Stainless the same finish as Brushed Stainless?

Asked by: Poppy
Thank you for your question. Artic Stainless and Stainless Steel are very similar finishes. However, the Artic Stainless has more of blue tint to it and the Stainless Steel has a slightly gold tint to it. The Artic Stainless more closely resembles the stainless steel appliances that are on the market today.

Is there any way to replace or clean the round disk in the center of the wand?

Asked by: Jeffrey
Thank you for your question, Jeffrey! The aerator for this model can be removed using the cashe aerator wrench that was included. This wrench is designed to snap onto the Pex supply line but if it was misplaced, the RP76076 aerator and wrench can be ordered. I want to make sure this is the replacement part I need.

I did not purchase this faucet and don't have the model number/paperwork. I know it was installed before 2006. It looks like the Signature. This model does not have the blue/red icon under the handle. I busted the plastic connector from the hose to the wand. I attached pictures. From what I have read it sounds like I can't purchase the plastic connector alone. Thanks, Rich
Asked by: Rich
Hi Rich, Thank you for your question! The model is the older version of the 470 single handle pullout faucet. There is no part number for the plastic connector. You will have to order the entire RP32542 wand assembly. Best regards, Brandis

How can you clean out the spray to eliminate 'rogue' random spray?

These sprays are probably coming from partially blocked nozzles.
Asked by: John
Hi John! The 470 spray face has rubber spray outlets that can be rubbed by hand to remove hard water deposits. Also, you can soak the spray face in a mixture of 50% water and 50% white vinegar to assist in cleaning blocked nozzles. Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company!

Where do i find the model number

Asked by: mcb
Thank you for your question. The model numbers for your parts and faucet is going to be on your paperwork for your faucet. We have started to attach a tag to our newer faucets with the model number listed but that has only recently happened, so older faucets will need to rely on paperwork.

New Aerator on RP32542

I just ordered and received a new RP32542 wand assembly and I need to know what aerator is being used in this new wand as it does not match the one from my original wand from 2007 when the house was built. I need the new replacement aerator part number and what is the thread pattern of the new plastic aerator (i.e. 15/16" - 27). The wand I just received was made on 01/09/2015 based on date stamped on box.
Asked by: LBeck
Hi Larry, Thank you for your question. The aerator used in the RP32542SS wand assembly is the RP76076. The thread pattern is a metric M21.5x1.5-6H. Thanks, Dave

I have a Signature Single Handle Pull-out SS kitchen faucet installed in 2004. Will the RP32542AR Wand Assembly w/Hose work with it?

Do I need a new clip RP 32522 to connect the new hose?
Asked by: Jack
Hi Jack, Thank you for your question. Your faucet will use the RP32542SS (Stainless Steel) wand. However, you will need to use the original hose, rather than the one that comes with the wand assembly. The included hose only works with DST models (2008 or later). The original hose is the RP44647, which will include a clip. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp44647.html Best regards, Jon

DST models use the RP50390 hose, which have a white or black fitting that connects to a gray PEX tube. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp50390.html Non-DST models use the RP44647 hose, which has a brass fitting that connects to a brass nipple. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp44647.html Best regards, Jon

I need to replace the wand assembly (RP32542). It appears to be the Arctic Stainless but I am not positive. It looks like a brushed finish and not a shiny chrome. Am I on the right track with the selection? It was purchased in 2006

Asked by: Rick
Hi Rick, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The RP32542 did not include Arctic Stainless in 2006, if the faucet is brushed then it would be our Brilliance Stainless which is described as brushed nickel. The RP32542SS would be the choice of purchase to match the finish. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. I have to replace the Wand assembly (part no.RP32542) on my kitchen sink faucet (Model no. 474-SS). Installation date was 2/22/06: Is the finish still "Brilliance Stainless?" BTW, hard water deposit blocked the aerator. Thank you-Sy Liebergot

Asked by: Sy Liebergot
Hi Sy, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP32542SS. The Brilliance stainless finish matches a 474-SS faucet. For buildup, recommended maintenance is to soak in 50/50 white vinegar and water, then rinse the finish. The wand was redesigned, but it includes adapters for the older faucet. https://support.deltafaucet.com/s/article/Redesigned-RP32542 Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions!
