Q&A

Where can you buy just the replacement O Ring for Delta tub spout adapters? Also how do you determine the correct size?

Asked by: DonW
Hi, DonW! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP33794 adapter has an external O-ring is part number RP1745. The internal o-ring is part number RP33482. These parts can be purchased separately. You can usually find Delta faucet parts at any dealer that sells Delta faucets. Some good places to check can be found on our website under Where To Buy. http://www.deltafaucet.com/where-to-buy/index.html The external RP1745 O-ring Size: Nominal Size: 15/16 x 1-1/8 x 3/32 with a Uniform Size Number 119 and the internal RP33482 O-ring Size: Nominal Size: 5/8 x 7/8 x 1/8 with a Uniform Size Number 208. I need a diverter tub spout in Bronze color that screws onto this fitting.

Oil Rubbed or Venetian Bronze. Either one.
Asked by: Cal

Will this adapter work with Roman Tub Trim BT2796-OB

I'm replacing an old chrome tub spout and faucet handles. The replacement handles work fine but the new spout is too big to seat at the o-ring. I'm hoping to not have to replace the rough-in valves.
Asked by: NightClawer
Hi NightClawer, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the RP33794 spout adapter is made for wall mounted tub spouts, not deck mounted roman tub faucets. We do not offer any type of adapter for the roman tub faucet trims. You will have to change out the rough to mount the BT2796-OB roman tub trim. The recommended rough is the R2707. Thanks, Dave

I purchased RP43028, but my current spout is a slip fit with the set screw. Will this adapter make new spout work w/our existing set up?

Asked by: jsgumataotao
Dear Jsgumataotao, Thank you for your question. The Delta RP43028 Non-Diverter Tub spout has a Sweat onto 1/2" C.W.T. or thread onto 1/2" IPS installation. This spout comes with the RP12307 threaded adapter. The Delta Delta Tub Spout Adapter - Slip-On Diverter RP33794, will not work with this tub spout installation. Best regards, Tanya

Does this adapter RP33794 ship with a set screw?

The adapter I received did not have a set screw with it. Should it have shipped with one? If not, what size screw should be used? (screw model number if available) Thanks
Asked by: dmr
Hi dmr, Thank you for your question. The RP33794 slip on tub spout adapter should have shipped with the set screw. The set screw is a #1/4-28 x .250" screw. Please call our toll free Homeowner/Warranty line at 1-800-345-3358 for warranty parts assistance. Thanks, Dave

faucet adaptor

does the faucet adaptor RP33794 work with the tub spout RP52148. In the instructions it mentions that it gets sweated to the copper pipe - is this correct
Asked by: chloe doe
Hi Chloe, Thank you for your question. The RP52148 tub spout will come with the RP12307 sweat on tub spout adapter. The RP33794 is a slip on tub spout adapter that gets attached with a set screw to the copper pipe without the need to sweat the fitting on. As long as you are going onto 1/2" copper pipe the 2 adapters are interchangeable. Thanks, Dave

Delta spout

I bought 2 Delta Tub & Shower 144996 BN and OB but the original spout are different. The original Delta spouts have the pull-down diverter valve type and if I don't mistake uses the adapter is the RP33794. My question are: How do you remove the adapter the RP33794? I tried to pull it out but no move. Do you sale pull-down tub spout (windemere) with OB and BN finishing? Is there any adapter to convert the adapter RP33794 to the spout that came on the 144996 kit?
Asked by: Fredy
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144996 uses the model RP61357 spout. This cannot be used with the RP33794 adapter. However, we do have slip on spouts that will work. Delta Faucet part # RP64721OB or RP64721SS are both slip on spouts.

How to remover adapter from NEW tub spout?

I mistakenly screwed the tub spout onto the brass nipple without first screwing the adapter on. When I unscrewed the tub spout the adapter was quite a way into the tub spout and now I can not unscrew the adapter. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Asked by: Bill
Thank you for your question. We would recommend needle nose pliers to try and back out the adapter.

My Model (144710C-RB-120) came with RP12307 which looks like it needs to be solder on. If I use this adapter does it not need to be solder?

Asked by: stv429
Thank you for your question, Stv429! The Delta Nura Tub and Shower T144710C-RB-I20 tub spout will come with the RP12307 adapter. This part can be soldered onto 1/2" copper pipe or threaded onto a 1/2" IPS pipe nipple. If you prefer a slip-on connection, you can purchase the RP33794 slip-on adapter separately to use with this spout. This adapter comes with a set screw, that would tighten to a smooth copper pipe 2-4" in length. Best regards, Tanya

Can this adapter replace another?

I had new tile put in and now my old adapter is not far enough from the wall for it to work. Could I un sweat the old spout adapter off and then clean the copper pipe and then put this one on leaving the required distance? Or can the one that is on there be un sweated and re sweated? Thanks!!

Hi starbiker99, Thank you for your question. The original adapter (RP12307) could be desoldered and re-sweat onto the pipe. The slip on adapter RP33794 would work with a smooth copper piper 2-4" in length. Best regards, Jon
