I have the delta Model# 144862-BL, with the rp33794 adapter. Will the adapter fit on a brass nipple, or do I have to have copper pipe?

Hi tg11, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP33794. This slip-on adapter fits a 1/2" copper pipe. It does not have threads for a pipe nipple. The RP12307 adapter has threads for a pipe nipple and can be sweat to copper pipe. The RP100154 adapter can be a slip-on, threaded, or sweat installation. These can be used in place of RP33794. Which models tub spouts work with this adapter now a days? Just ran into this issue. I bought the Porter series and will have to take it back because the tub spout is not compatible with my setup using this adapter.

The tub spout we got is for threaded pipe (1/2) but our rough in is 1/2 copper sweat so what we really need is the set screw spout. Just wondering if there is an adapter for that.

This adapter will work with some Delta Faucet tub spout models.
