Rated 3 out of 5 by from Instructions lacking Parts may be fine and solve the problem (I don't know yet), but instructions are lacking. Your pictures of the individual parts in the kit are too small to see and they each need to be labeled with the name you have given them. Adjusting ring? Cap assembly? Your customer doesn't know what those parts are without a lot of effort. Your kit should have a list of what's included and a clear picture of what each part looks like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbeatable customer service I have a kitchen faucet (Delta 470SS) installed back in 2006. Developed a slight leak over a year ago -- handle/lever had to be in a particular/off-center position to prevent drips. A few weeks ago, nothing would stop the dripping. Called Delta, they were kind enough to send this repair kit as well as a new ball assy - no charge! Although intimidating at first glance, very easy to install and now faucet works/feels like new. Delta fully supported my 14 year old faucet - how is that for customer service?! I am a huge Delta advocate. I actually bought a fancy new Kohler touchless faucet to replace the Delta, but I will now return it.

Re: RP3614 Delta Repair Kit, should the o-rings and seals be lubricated, and if so, with what type of lube?

Re: RP3614 Delta Repair Kit Problem is that silicone lube (made by Moen) only works for 5 - 6 weeks and then ease of motion deteriorates.
Asked by: Sarge
Hi Sarge, Thank you for your question. The parts are pre-lubricated in the factory. We do not recommend to add any additional lubrication. Best regards, Jon

The parts in the RP3614 are gray, while the parts in my series 600 shower assembly are white. The new parts are also shaped differently (the old white one is smooth on top, while the gray replacement has lots of little angles). Will this work?

Please send instructions for installing RP3614 and RP22934

Asked by: Patrick
Hi Patrick, To replace RP3614, please refer to the instructions below. ** Please shut off water supplies before starting this process. ** You will need a towel, a 5 gal bucket or large bowl, an 1/8" allen wrench, and a strap wrench. 1. Please remove the handle with your 1/8” Allen wrench and pull off the handle. 2. Please remove the dome-shaped cap with your strap wrench. 3. Please remove the inside parts. We recommend flushing the faucet before installing the new parts. 4. Place the towel around the back of your entire faucet, and place the bucket on top of the towel to catch excess water. 5. Hold on to the bucket and turn the water supplies to the on position. Allow the water to flow for about a minute or two. The RP22934 will require you to remove the spout body. 1. There is a sleeve on the bottom of your spout, please rotate while pushing up. This part will move up, please do not remove it completely. 2. You should see a white plastic piece surrounding the spout. You are now able to push the spout straight up and off of the valve. Please be gentle and not pull the spout off at an angle. 3. Once the spout is removed you should see the o-rings on the brass valve. 4. Remove the old o-rings and install the new o-rings in the same spot. Please take a photo for reference. 5. You are ready to put the spout back on the valve and push the spout sleeve over the white plastic piece. We appreciate your inquiry. Please contact us directly if you need further assistance! I have the repair kit RP3614A but no directions. All the videos are for installation of new faucets but nothing for repair of an existing one. I hate to "wing it" and take everything apart so is there a chance I could get some written instructions.

Asked by: Gordon
Hi Gordon, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry this information was not readily available, and I am happy to help you! I have included the steps needed for our Delta Faucet Repair Kit - 1H Knob Or Lever MODEL#: RP3614, please see below the instructions. 1. First, make sure the water supplies are completely shut off below the counter. Remove the handle. On the lever handle, you should find a small hex screw that can be loosened with a 1/8" Allen wrench. The handle will lift off when this screw is loose enough. 2. Once the handle has been removed, unscrew the dome-shaped cap. The domed-shaped cap will unscrew counter-clockwise. 3. Once the cap has been removed, grasp the round metal stem (which is part of the ball assembly) to which the handle was attached and pull it out. The ball will come out, along with the cam and packing. You will need to reinstall these parts later, so be sure to note how they are positioned in the valve. 4. After these parts have been removed, the only parts left in the valve will be the seats and springs. You will see them at the bottom of the valve. Insert the point of a pencil into the rubber seat, tilt it slightly to catch the spring beneath the seat, and lift out the seat and the spring. Repeat this process for both the hot and cold sides of the valve. 5. Now, with the valve completely disassembled, place a bucket upside down over the top of the empty brass valve body. Turn the hot and cold water supplies back on and let the water run for about 10 to 15 seconds. The water will come directly up out of the valve and should mostly be deflected back into the sink by the bucket. ! 6. Shut off the water supplies. Make sure that the seats and springs do not have any debris stuck to them and reinstall them. Reinstall the ball assembly and the cam and packing. Screw the cap on again. Finally, reinstall the handle. At this point, you can test the faucet again. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

I have kitchen sink model 467 SS SD and the faucet is leaking. I need to know what is needed to fix this. It looks like there is a special tool to access under the handle. I tried using a screwdriver and it doesn't fit. Please help. Thanks so much.

Asked by: Caroljb
Hi Caroljb, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. Our Delta Faucet Repair Kit - 1H Knob Or Lever MODEL#: RP3614 would repair a drip when off, I have included the instructions below. 1. Please start but shutting off the water to both hold and cold supplies, and then put the handle in the on position to drain the water from the faucet. (This will also ensure the shut-off is complete off.). 2. Please remove your handle with the 1/8" Allen wrench. There may be a blue/red button cover that can be removed with a sharp nail file or tweezers. 3. Please pull the handle off of the cap, which can be unthreaded from the body. If you see a white plastic adjusting ring, this would be removed by the tool that comes with the repair kit first. *This should only be hand-tight, but if you need to use a tool, we would recommend a strap wrench. (soaking a rag in 50/50 solution and wrapping around anything too tight will help loosen up the threads) 4. The eternal parts: cam and packing, ball assembly, seats, and springs would need to be removed. At this time, I recommend placing all the parts into a bowl for reassembling. 5. Place the towel around the faucet on the counter and the bucket over the valve where you removed all the internal parts. Please turn both water supplies on. Please flush the faucet out for about 30 seconds to a minute. 6. After this, shut the hot and cold supplies off, reassemble and check for the flow and hammer sound. Lastly, install the new replacement parts following the instructions above in reverse. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Hello valued customer, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The Delta Faucet RP3614 repair kit is for a single handle faucet. For a leak under the handle of the faucet model 3597LF-RBMPU, we recommend replacing the RP25513 stem, as well as the RP4993 seat and spring and flushing the valve. The repair would only require an Alan wrench to remove the handle and a wrench for the bonnet nut. The water supply will need to be turned off below the sink.
