What is the Oring for RO40950 made of?
I need to replace the O ring in the inner face plate (RP40590) of a Michael Graves tub/shower Delta Monitor system that is discontinued (1768-22). I found some O rings that are the right size but don't know what material the original O ring is made of. Choices are fluorosilicone, Viton, Buna-N, silicone, or EDPM.

Is there a replacement o-ring for the part rp40590 trim ring or does it have to be replaced?
It keeps slipping out.
Hi jawanzao, Thank you for your question. The o-ring used with the RP40590SS is not available as a separate item. The entire trim ring would have to be ordered. The size of the o-ring is 2-7/8"ID X 3-1/16"OD x 3/32" thick.

Will this fit around the tub faucet of delta B114915C? We had to put the tile around the faucet because the water pipe was too short. We need something to cover the edges of the tile. Thank you, Cheryl

Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. Unfortunately, it would not work as the measurements of the Delta tub spout RP64721 is 2 15/32" (62 mm) and the inside of the trim ring is 2 3/16" (55mm). With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly!

How do you properly remove the trim ring? Do you pry it off using a screwdriver? Do you un-screw it? Need to know since I'm replacing the cartridge on my Delta tub/shower model 174939. Instructions would be much appreciated. None found in the manual.

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP40590 Trim Ring Assembly - Tub & Shower In Chrome. We will be happy to assist you as quickly as possible.
The trim ring is pressed onto the escutcheon. Removing the trim ring would not be necessary to access the cartridge. The trim sleeve should be able to be removed without removing the trim ring. See the installation and maintenance manual for more information:

Would this go over a short diverter escutcheon that is 4 1/2 in diameter?
