I just bought T17433-SS-I Tub/Shower trim to replace existing hardware. New trim is smaller than old trim. What beauty rings are available in stainless to cover old space/gap?

What is the thickness of the ring? Had an older delta spout that the diverter repeatedly failed. Delta sent a substitute spout RP72565SS. It works great but with complete threading leaves an approx gap of 1/4.” Will this spout ring be sufficient?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP40590SS.
This trim ring would fit inside a handle escutcheon plate for specific shower faucet models. It is about 1/2" thick. This ring is not intended for tub spout installations.
