Rated 1 out of 5 by from not he right part for this model I ordered this part to replace the old part and noticed that the new part did not have a pre drilled screw hole as the old part did. I went ahead and replaced the part without the screw and the faucet still dripped. You are better off keeping the old part and just replace the seals and springs which fixed the leak. The quad had part#41534 stamped on it but its N/a to purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaking shower head I purchased the Ashlyn In2ition with integrated volume control (Part #17464 ss I ) and had it installed in our guest bathroom. With in 3 months my shower head began leaking. Now I'm told I need to replace the the seats, springs and cartridge in the rough in valve ( Part # R10000 UNBX ), very disappointed this purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still leaks The shower faucet still leaks. I didn’t have any oring lube to put on during the install. Don’t think that was the issue though. Not quite sure where the leak is coming from. The old prints took a bit of a set, but that shouldn’t be the problem with the new orings. Next time I take apart will check out for scratches on the sealing face of the cartridge. This is a new house install a couple years ago, but I don’t have any documentation for warranty purposes

Q&A

While taking a shower the water pressure became very low, even on my hand held shower. I replaced the cartridge and I still have the same problem. But I did not replace the Cartridge Adapter. Can this be the problem? Pressure throughout house is ok.

Which shower faucet does the RP46073 go with. Twice I have taken the shower faucet apart and replaced the RP46073. This time after I unscrew the pieces up front, I can not pull the handle off. I thought there was a hex screw some where.

Installation directions

Asked by: Rudy T
Hello! Step-by-Step Installation: 1. Shut Off Water & Relieve Pressure: Locate your main water shut-off valve to cut the water supply. Turn on the shower to relieve any remaining pressure in the pipes. 2. Remove the Handle and Trim:Pop off the temperature dial cover and remove the Phillips head screw.Note the position of the Rotational Limit Stop (the white/gray plastic ring), then remove it and the handle assembly.Slide the trim sleeve off the valve. 3. Remove the Cartridge: Use your hands or a strap wrench to unscrew the bonnet nut, then pull the main valve cartridge straight out. 4. Remove the Old Adapter: Inside the valve body, you will see the black or white RP46073 adapter assembly. If your older valve body has a small retaining screw securing the adapter, remove it with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the old adapter straight out using your fingers or needle-nose pliers. 5. Install the New Adapter: Align the new adapter so it fits into the valve slots and push it firmly into place. Note: Newer versions of the RP46073 adapter are held in place purely by friction and do not require a screw. If a screw hole exists on the new part, you can ignore it or leave it empty, as it will not cause leaks. 6. Reassemble the Faucet: Reinsert the main shower cartridge. Thread and tighten the bonnet nut. Slide on the sleeve, align and place back the Rotational Limit Stop, and reattach the handle assembly and temperature dial. Turn the water back on slowly and check for leaks before finalizing the handle screw. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Tim Digital Communications Specialist

Can you use this adapter to convert a ball type mixer control to a cartridge. My original 1968 Delta shower valve has a ball with seats. I have purchased a Delta mixer valve and diverter extender kit seems to me to only work on cartridges.

Asked by: converter kit
Hi converter kit, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP46073. This adapter is included with the RP46463 cartridge and is used only with an R1000 series MultiChoice valve rough introduced in 2006. A Delta Faucet shower valve that uses a ball and seats would be a 600 series. See our 600 series renovation kit here, but unfortunately, other shower trims would not fit a 600 series valve. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP54870.html Please reach out with any additional questions! Does Delta have a conversion kit to upgrade a series 14 valve body to the newest 17 series?

Asked by: JD Ogles
Hi JD Ogles, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company about RP46073! If the rough valve was installed prior to 2006, you would need to replace the rough to our universal R10000-UNWS to update the trim to the T17 series. If the rough was installed after 2006, the new T17 series would fit the universal rough in the wall. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance.
