Q&A

Hello, what is the pressure test plug for? ( model RP46079)

Asked by: Max74
Hi Max74, Thank you for your question regarding our Delta Faucet RP46079. The Delta RP46079 is a Hot and Cold water Pressure Test plug. To install this plug, make sure water supplies are shut off. Then install the plug in the cold water opening/hole, inside of the valve body. Then install the test cap and bonnet. This will prevent the cold water from flowing into the valve, so that you can check the hot water pressure coming into the valve. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. Multi shower valve  test plug.  Do I have to install separately in hot and cold to test without trim kit valves during rough in?

Asked by: OMALE
Hello OMALE, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! The Delta RP46079 is used to test the hot and cold, I have included steps below. Prior to testing, remove cover, bonnet and cap. Ensure O-ring is properly installed. Reinstall cap and bonnet and tighten securely. Plug both outlets with proper fittings. Turn on the hot and cold water and check for leaks. After testing remove shower and/or tub spout plug and flush system. After flushing and reinstall cap, bonnet and cover. Please see the install guide for more information. https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/9d/9da94fa6-9890-40a6-981f-8071d98d4ae0.pdf Please contact us back for any further questions.
