Hi, Nick! Thank you for your question. There is a rotational limit stop (RLS) at the temperature control to adjust the hot water limit. To adjust the RLS, first remove the temperature cover and take a phillips head screw driver and turn the set screw counter clockwise to remove. Remove the gray knob. Behind the knob, you should see a black disk. Take the disk and take it out and place the disk to the hotter side. The hot side should be up against the iron piece that is sticking down on the volume handle. Once adjusted, reinstall all handle parts. Best Regards, Rosanna

Thank you for your question, Twin Maple Condos! Too correct your hot and cold reversal issue, please follow the steps below: First shut off the water supply to the faucet. Remove the sleeve, bonnet ring and cartridge. Pull the top cap from the front of the cartridge and rotate it 180 degrees or one half turn. Reinstall the cap back onto the cartridge. Reinstall the cartridge making sure that the key is fully engaged with the slot in the brass body. Reinstall the bonnet and sleeve and also make sure that the O-Ring is behind the groove on the brass valve body. Reinstall the handle assembly and temperature dial. When you now turn the temperature dial counter clockwise, the temperature of the water should get hotter. Best regards, Tanya

Thank you for your question, Bill! First, turn off the water supply to the faucet. Next, remove the temperature knob by popping off the cover and removing the Phillips head screw. Remove the handle and note the position of the Rotational Limit Stop. Slide off the sleeve and unscrew the bonnet nut. Pull the cartridge straight out while wiggling it back and forth. This will allow you access to the seats, springs, and quad seals. Install in reverse order. Hello, I apologize for the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help you. The flow rate can not be increased with any adjustment to the cartridge. However, your showerhead or hand shower may be a water efficient product which only provides a flow rate of 1.75gpm. This may be stamped on the back of the hand shower handle or showerhead. If this is not the case we recommend performing a flush of the valve. Please see the following steps: Tools you may need: • Phillips screwdriver or 1/8" hex wrench • Strap wrench or groove-joint pliers. • Thin screwdriver or skewer Before you begin, make sure that you shut off the water supply to the faucet. 1. Remove the handle. A clear knob will have a Phillips head screw located just under the plastic cap; a lever handle usually has a small set screw located on the side. 2. Slide off the finished metal sleeve that covers the valve. 3. Unscrew the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is a large brass or chrome ring on the brass valve body. It should be unscrewed by hand. If it is too tight, use a strap wrench, or wrap a towel around the bonnet and use a pair of groove joint pliers. Make sure that the entire valve body does not start to rotate as you do this. Remove the bonnet nut. 4. Do not pry the valve cartridge out of the body with a screwdriver. Place the handle back on the cartridge stem and rotate it counterclockwise approximately 1/4 turn after the stop has been contacted. Remove the handle. Grasp the brass stem in the center of the white plastic assembly and pull it directly out, away from the wall. The valve cartridge should slide out of the brass valve body. 5. Flush the valve by running both hot and cold through it. Take care to protect the space and wall interior from splash or spray. 6. Install the cartridge oriented with the words "Hot Side" on the hot supply side of the valve. Typically that is the left side. 7. Reassemble the handle and knob. Hi Roger, Thank you for your question. If your current faucet is newer than February 2006 and uses the RP46463 cartridge it should use the R10000 multichoice rough in valve. The R10000 rough will allow you to switch out to any of the T13/T14 series trims that include the RP46074 cartridge. Thanks, Dave

Hi Jeff, Thank you for your question. The showerhead itself on the model T17455 is regulated and has a max flow rate of 2.5 gallons per minute at 80 psi. Remove the showerhead and verify that the flow restrictor is properly seated in the end of the showerhead and not turned or missing. You can also measure the water coming out of the showerhead to determine if it is flowing at the proper flow rate or not. The cartridge is capable of a higher flow rate to fill the tub at approximately 6-7 gpm flow rate. Thanks, Dave

Hi Bob, Thank you for your question. The flowrate on the RP46463 cartridge is dependant on the valve choice and household water pressure. The RP46463 using the R10000-UN valve at 60 PSI will give you 6.3 gpm to the tub spout and 6.04 gpm to the showerhead. Thanks, Dave

Hi Kim, Thank you for your question. Your model RP46463 cartridge is equipped with a (RLS) rotational limit stop that allows you to set the max hot water temperature for the faucet. The RLS is located on the end of the cartridge. You can adjust the RLS to make the water hotter. Hi Dave, Thank you for your question! When upgrading from the 1500 series you do need to use the Rp32104 cartridge and the RP22734 bonnet nut. The RP46463 Multi-Choice cartridge will not fit into the valve. Installing the Rp32104 will allow you to use any of the current Monitor 1700 trim kits. We also offer the RP29405 renovation kit that comes with RP32104 and RP22734 as well as a basic Monitor 1700 trim kit. This is a good option if you are not trying to coordinate with a new collection. Thank you for your question. It is possible that there are mineral deposits built up around your sleeve. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water and then wrapping it around the sleeve. Let is soak overnight to remove the deposits. The cartridge should come out easily then.

Hi Paul, Thank you for your question. The screw on the RP1991 would be unscrewed counter-clockwise to increase the hot water setting. There may be some debris in the hot water supply that is restricting the water flow. We recommend that you remove and clean the cartridge and flush the faucet to remove any potential debris in the lines. Thanks, Dave

Thank you for your question, peter! Turn off water supplies. Remove the cover bonnet nut from the body. Insert adapter assembly into valve body. Make sure the adapter assembly is correctly positioned and is pressed all the way down inside body. Remove the retainer from the adapter. Rotate cartridge so the words “HOT SIDE” appear on the left. Insert cartridge assembly into valve body. Make sure the key on the cartridge is fully engaged with the slot in the brass body. Slide bonnet nut over the cartridge and thread onto the body. Hi, Charley! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP46463 Valve Cartridge Assembly can be removed by first turning the water off at the water supply. Pull the temperature cover straight off. Unscrew the Philip's Screw out and remove the temperature knob. Pull the rotational limit stop and the volume control handle straight off. Remove the sleeve assembly off of the valve body. Unscrew the bonnet nut off of the valve body. Pull the cartridge straight out from the stem of the cartridge. Unscrew the Philip's Screw that is holding the adapter assembly inside of the valve body and pull the adapter assembly out. I hope this helps. Best Regards, Rosanna

Thodge23, Thank you for your question. This cartridge works with a MultiChoice Rough-In Valve, which will allow you to install any 13/14, 17, or 17T series trim kit. The 13/14 series has a single handle to turn the faucet on/off and adjust the temperature. Thank you for your question, James! With a standard MultiChoice rough-in valve, the 17 series will get about 5.6 gpm from the shower port at 60 PSI. With a High Flow version of the MultiChoice valve, at 60 PSI the 17 series will get a maximum flow of about 6.7 gpm. Best Regards, Benjamin

The white adapter in the back of the valve, that the seats, springs and o rings go into, is what actually seals the water to prevent leaks. Best Regards, Benjamin
