Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not fix leak for 25999LF Haywood faucet I bought these yesterday after calling and confirming with the phone support that they are the correct replacement for the issue I am experiencing (water leaking through the handles). I was careful to check that no other parts would be needed to resolve that issue and I was assured that no other parts are needed. I swapped in these replacements and it was much worse. The water continues to flow out of the faucet no matter what position the stem is in. I rotated the stem a full 360 degrees multiple times to be sure and at no point did the water turn off. I previously loved Delta products and was looking forward to being able to continue using the faucets that I have. But, combine the frustrations of the continued leaks, corrosion on the faucet stainless steel, and getting in touch with customer service being cumbersome (16+ min wait to speak to someone yesterday around lunchtime and 20+ min wait to speak with someone later in the day), I’m probably just going to cut my losses at this point and go for some new faucets from another brand. It might have been a different experience if I had been able to get the correct information in a timely manner. Does anyone have that kind of time to wait to speak with someone to experience more issues with the replacement part? Frustrating

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible The first set I have are terrible. I went to install them in a Delta Victorian faucet that was leaking, and having problems, the first one broke on me, so I used the 2nd one not going to be able to work on my end that was my for my hot water and it also broke in the same manner. It is at this point I am not thrilled. At this point I put the older part back in for now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't last very long Had it installed for about 2 years before it started leaking. Now I can't find the part locally, not even where I bought the faucet (Lowe's). It's on-line but costs over $25 w/ shipping. Time to go buy a new faucet, maybe a Moen, I heard they last longer.

What is the difference between this cartridge and RP25513?

I have a 15 year old Delta faucet.

In replacing a 2 handle lavatory stem, do I also need to replace a spring assembly as well? Thank you.

Asked by: Dave
Thank you for your question, Dave! The RP47422 Stem Assembly is ceramic and does not work in conjunction with seats and springs. If your model has seats and springs, you do not have the RP47422 stem unit assembly. Typically the seats and springs are the only parts needed for a drip, however if your model is leaking under the handle, you will need to replace the stem unit as well. Best regards, Edward

Trying to replace, but I cannot remove from shower faucet. It seems to be stuck no matter what I do. I didn't do the first install, so any help on how to remove would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Asked by: gll12
Thank you for your question, gll12! This ceramic stem assembly is not used in our shower trims, however an older two or three handled unit may use a similar stem unit. Regardless of if you are working with a shower cartridge or stem unit assembly, the bonnet nut must be un-threaded first before removing this part from the valve body. If mineral buildup is making this difficult, we advise applying a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water to clean the area first. Please contact us directly if you have questions or need further assistance. Best regards, Edward

Is there a hot and cold stem or can you use the same for both?

Asked by: Trudy
Hi Trudy, Thank you for your question! This stem unit is used for both the hot and cold side. The removable 1/4 turn stop should be placed on the back on the cold side and the front on the hot side. Once the stem unit is installed, rotate the brass stem so that the flat side is away from the spout and then attach the handle. Best regards, Jon

How do I remove ceramic stem if is stuck

Asked by: Javy
Thank you for your questin. Delta Faucet model # RP47422 may have mineral deposits built up around it preventing it from being removed easily. We recommend using a towel soaked in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water wrapped around the stem, and letting it sit overnight.
