It works again
I purchased the pump RP47888 and it came with the bottle for a soap dispenser that came with our kitchen faucet. The purchase went well, and the delivery was quick. I just installed it and it works now. Very pleased with my purchase.

Can I put foaming hand soap in this? I just bought two faucets that included the soap dispenser and would really like to use it with foaming hand soap but am unsure if I can do this. If not, do you have a model that you can use foaming soap with?
Thank you for your question, Matthew! You may use liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, alcohol based hand-sanitizer, and even typical hand lotions. Foaming hand soap can also be used with our dispensers however our pumps are unable to create the same foaming action. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Is this the correct replacement soap bottle for the Delta Model 16927-SD-DST?
My soap bottle broke at the neck of the bottle and I need a replacement. I am pretty sure that the faucet and soap pump are the Delta Model 16927-SD-DST.

Is the soap dispenser pump for RP47888 the same as RP21908?
Home depot sells the RP21908 which is the pump only, where-as the RP47888 is the pump and bottle combined. I only wish to replace the pump. The illustrations on the web page appear similar. Are the different model numbers of the pump interchangeable?
My owners manual indicates that I have the Model RP47888.
I had the same problem. purchased the RP21908. The diameter of the tube would not fit the dispenser. Am back to replacing the entire pump and bottle.

how do you disassemble pump.
Thank you for your question, Richard! The RP47888 soap dispenser pump is not meant to come apart itself. The straw can be removed from the pump assembly by pulling straight off. The pump will also fit directly into the head assembly but can be pulled out for occasional cleaning.

I have a job we are installing these soap dispensers on corean counter tops. The general contractor wants to predrill the holes for the faucets and soap dispensers. Can you get me a cut sheet for the soap dispensers? Or just tell what size hole to drill?

Unfortunately there are no templates available for the soap dispensers this body assembly is compatible with. But the dispenser will work with standard hole sizes. The minimum diameter is 1 1/4". You would have to refer to the installation instructions for the faucet your dispenser came with for more specific measurements.

will the soap dispenser handle the foam type soaps

Thank you for your question. Foaming soap will pump from the soap dispenser but it will not foam. Our Soap Dispensers can use liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, alcohol based hand-sanitizer,and even typical hand lotions.

Can the pump/plunger part of RP47888 be lubricated? If yes, what should I use?

Thank you for your question. We do not recommend to apply any lubrication to the pump. Periodically soaking the pump with soapy warm water should prevent buildup and keep the pump working like new.

What material is the bottle made of (besides "plastic")? I need to make the bottle shorter so was going to cut out some material and re-glue or tape
I bought a 19950-DST faucet with soap dispenser. Due to obstructions under the sink I have to make the bottle about two inches shorter. I want to select the correct adhesive that is compatible with the material the plastic bottle is made of. Thanks

Thank you for your question. I do apologize for not answering fully the first time. To replace Delta Faucet model # RP47888 with a new one, pull the pump out of the head and push the new pump into to the head. Replace the bottle with a new bottle and you should be good as new.
