Replacing 17 series outer trim from brass to nickel
What exactly do we need to change the looks from brass to nickel. I don't think we need the assembly kit # T17297-ss just to change the parts people see do we?

Thank you for your question. If you would like to change out our your trim, you will need to find out what valve you have in the wall first. If is a multi-choice Delta Faucet model R10000 series valve, then you will need the T17297-SS to change out your trim.
If your valve is older than 2006, it is probably not a multi-choice valve. You can still use the T17297-SS but you will need to keep your old cartridge in the wall. If you do not have the multi-choice valve and you have a 1300/1400 or a 600 series faucet, then you will not be able to upgrade to a T17297-SS without replacing the valve too.

Loose screw cover
Screw cover has never stayed in place since installation. Comes loose when turning handle. Any suggestions on getting it to stay put? Does it need to be replaced?
Hi IowaGuy, Thank you for your question. The RP49089 screw cover is held in place by the o-ring around the outer edge. If this o-ring is missing or breaking down over time it will need to be replaced.

What size o ring does it need? Ours needs to be replaced, but the ones we got at the hardware store aren't fitting quite right
