Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality parts I had previously bought and installed 2 different sets of aftermarket seats, both quickly caused the faucet lever to bind and move hard, one set leaked. With these seats the faucet is back to working properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hope for the hopeless Didn't think my odd, old tub faucet was repairable (one handle for temp, one for water flow) but this part and a few others and about an hour of time and it's working like new. Thanks for having diagrams and parts in stock!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sent wrong part Even after speaking with a representative for quite some time, explaining the issue, he asked me to take pictures and send which I did only to wait for and get the wrong part.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boots Need To Be Replaced Every 2 - 3 Years Back to get more replacement parts. Seems to be on a 2 year cadence. Bad time for it to go bad with company coming for the holidays. We're considering replacing our bathroom counters so this may be the last time I do this. I understand that Delta's design for this is deficient relative to others. On the plus side, they're very easy to replace and the faucet is very pretty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not last long. The plastic seats does not last long, about a year, had to replace 5 on the same unit. The cold water seat gets ripped and then the tub faucet starts leaking. Not sure if it's a bad 1700 series cartridge causing the seat to rip prematurely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stops The Drip More often than not, it's the seats and not the stem that needs replacing when the faucet has a drip. Make sure to use genuine Delta seats, I have never had luck with the generic ones. Let me give you a little tip for the seat replacement, take a wood pencil and insert the pointed end into the seat, give it a half turn or so and it will stick to the pencil so you can easily remove it. Install the new one again using the pencil.

Do these work for the RP17453 Delta Tub Spouts?

Asked by: Ryan
Thank you for your question, Ryan! The RP4993 seats and springs are not used on a tub spout but found in some kitchen, lavatory and shower faucets. The RP12307 tub spout adapter uses the RP1745 o-ring. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP1745 Best regards, Edward

How do I replace seats and springs for model 2689thd ?

Asked by: Joe
Hi Joe, Thank you for your question. Before you begin, please make sure that the water supply is shut off to the home. You can then remove the handle by popping off the cover and removing the screw. Next, unscrew the sleeve and pull out the extender and stem unit. You can then use a pencil or Allen wrench to scoop out the seats and springs. Reassemble in the reverse order, making sure the spring goes into the valve with the wider end first and the seat on the smaller end. Best regards, Jon

Does the small end of the spring go into the rubber gasket ? Then, does the spring go on the underside of the gasket into the supply tube ?

Asked by: Ziggy
Hi, Ziggy! Thank you for your question. The spring sets into the valve, bigger side down. The seat sits over the smaller end of the spring. Best Regards, Rosanna

It is difficult to insert the seat and spring in the hole in roman tub faucet installation. Do you have tools to insert these without damaging seat

Seat Hole is small and the bottom of the valve. So you cannot even get two fingers in to squeeze the seat and insert it in the hole. Very frustrating and you may even damage the seat sealing surface in the process. I have an idea for a tool but not sure if already have one.
Asked by: A
Hi A, Thank you for you question. We do not offer a tool for installing the seats and springs. If you place the seats and springs on the end of allen wrench often used to remove the handles you can use that as a guide to place the seats and springs in the hole and then use your finger to seat them properly. Thanks, Dave
