Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fix Spout Drip Replaced the RP4993 springs/seats and RP70 ball in my 20+ year old Waterfall faucet and it works like brand new again. It dripped from spout unless you cocked the on/off lever to slightly off-center in either direction. It was like a 15 min job. No drips! I was able to identify the faucet from Delta’s excellent website and order the parts direct from Delta rather than trusting aftermarket junk.

Q&A

I have a 2 handle widespread lavatory faucet, model # N3530CB-24A

There is a very small leak coming from the left hand faucet handle. Does the stem unit assembly (part # RP 25513), need to be replaced? Can this part be fixed in any way? Should I replace the seats and springs (part # RP4993) while I have the stem assembly out?
Asked by: Art
Hi Art, Thank you for your question. Replacing the RP25513 stem assembly and the RP4993 seats and springs should stop the leak in your model 3530 faucet. There is not a stem assembly repair kit, the unit would need to be replaced. Thanks, Dave

how do I repair a leaking shower head. The part number is T13220

Asked by: Sammy
Thank you for your question, Sammy! Model T13220 contains the RP19804 cartridge assembly. With the water fully shut off to the valve, room or home, the top of the cartridge twists off to reveal the seats and springs inside. Please be sure the wide end of the spring is inserted first, with the seat placed on top. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/34459RevA.pdf Best regards, Edward

will the rp4993 repair kit fit 1700 series faucet?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, Bobbylew! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP4993 Repair Kit will fit our Delta 1700 Series Faucet. However, we recommend the RP28603 Seal Kit as it has the same seats and springs, plus the quad seals needed for the 1700 Series Faucet. Here is a link to this kit: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP28603 Best Regards, Rosanna

When I install the RP4993 assembly in the water line, it lasts only 2 hours every time and then water comes gushing out. The seat appears to have a small "V" bulge in the edge after I take it apart again which makes me think it is not seated correctly.

Asked by: colette54
Thank you for your question, colette54! We recommend installing genuine Delta seats and springs. There should not be a bulge in the seat and a new set may be needed. The spring will go into the valve body, wide end down first, then the seat should sit on top of the spring. I eed a diagram of the how the spring and rubber gasket go back together

Asked by: annette
Hello everyone, for those of you that need a little more explanation than the confusing directions.. here you go. TURN OFF THE WATER!! Take off the handle, remove big nut that is around the white plastic piece that also has a brass stem. You will need to remove this too. When you look at the empty hole, you will see the little hole where the spring and rubber washer goes. Really watch how the plastic piece is in there, if you put it in backwards, your handle will move the opposite way than before. I didn't know I could load pics, sorry... If you read this, please take pics for everyone else.

I have included a link on the FAQ section on our website, that shows some instructions on how to replace the RP4993 seats and springs.
