Like many other reviews, mine lasted about two years. You know how bad your product has to be to only have a 2.9 review rating? I guess they know they have you over a barrel, since it's buy another one or new faucet.

Poor Quality Cartridge
The product quality is very poor for this particular product. The cartridge typically only lasts about a year before it starts leaking and needs to be replaced. We are on the 5th replacement cartridge so far and it needs to be replaced again after less than a year being installed. We are on city water in the Metro Nashville area and have a filter on the water line as well so the problem shouldn't be with the quality of the water. And I'm having trouble getting through to Delta customer service right now as the 800-345-3358 number is not working either. Very dissappointed in the quality of this product even with the lifetime warranty because I have to change the cartridge every year. And, according to the other reviews I've read on the Delta website, a number of other people are having the same problem. The older style product with replaceable rubber gaskets was much more reliable and easy to service.

Very Useful Features
I love my Leland Arctic Stainless kitchen faucet & Delta has been wonderful since I purchased it from them through Amazon in 2013. They've sent me many free replacement cartridges over the years, & even the water lines & a different spray head since then b/c I was putting up with something that I didn't realize shouldn't be happening. Evidently, this faucet has evolved since 2013 & I'm currently using a head they sent me that has 2 different types of sprays. It's time for a new cartridge under the handle b/c the spray head drips at times which is what happens when it doesn't dock properly as it's done so well in the past. Delta has evidently improved this cartridge also b/c it seems to have lasted much longer than in the past.

This valve cartridge is will designed, easy to replace when it starts getting old and starts dripping. And warranted for life by Delta! Be sure to register your purchase so Delta can replace it if or when it starts leaking. Delta has a wonderful warranty and quick replacement of any of their products!

Is this the correct cartridge for a 564-SSMPU-DST? It is very difficult to get water temperature just right. The sweet spot is very small and the water temperature is either too hot or cold.

Looking into this, I have found instructions to replace your Cartridge - DIAMOND™ valve - 1H MODEL#: RP50587. Please refer to the information below. I apologize again for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please shut off the water supplies, gather your 1/8" Allen wrench, wrench, and strap wrench before we begin.
1. Please remove your handle with the 1/8" Allen wrench. There may be a button you can remove with your fingernails first.
2. Once you remove the handle, you should see the cap or sleeve assembly. Remove this with your strap wrench if you cannot remove it with your hand.
3. After the cap or sleeve has been removed, you should see a brass bonnet, please use your wrench to remove this part.
4. Your cartridge is now free to be removed. Please ensure there is no debris on the puck piece inside the valve. If there is, please grab q-tips or paper towels to clean it out.
5. You are now able to install your new cartridge.

How do I remove old cartridge

Thank you for your question! We apologize for the leaking you are experiencing with your Delta faucet and will be happy to help you.
Reduced flow is typically caused by debris. If only one side is affected, there is debris in the supply line. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold-water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shutoff valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the middle position, fully open, then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and turn on both supplies.
Check flow from the faucet. If this does not help, please let us know.

We have only had this faucet since 3-15-2021. Surely it is covered by warranty. It is model 9178-AR-DST.

Our Delta faucets flow rate is not effected by the cartridge, yet the PSI in the home would determine how much water you would receive. Conventional Faucets provide water flow for PSI between 20 - 100 PSI.

Our Delta Faucet Delta Cartridge - DIAMOND™ Valve - 1H MODEL#: RP50587 orange/red switch on the top of the Delta Valve Cartridge RP50587 is a handle limit stop which is an optional safety feature that can be used to prevent the handle from moving too far to the hot side. When it is switched all the way to the left, the handle can turn to the hottest position. When it is kept to the right, this will limit the handle to turn only halfway to the hot side.

This is one common cartridge used by our pull-down faucets. It's used on models where the cartridge comes out at an angle. RP7300 is typically used by models where the cartridge points straight out of the side.

Our Delta Faucet Cartridge - DIAMOND™ Valve - 1H MODEL#: RP50587 will work with the 470-DST. However, in 2000 the model would be a pre DST. I have included a link below to the parts diagram of your 470. For the repair kit, we would recommend RP3614.
