Q&A
Is no longer allowing enough hot water to mix with cold. Limit stop checked and does not appear to be the problem. Will replacing the cartridge make it work like it used to?

Our Delta Faucet Cartridge - DIAMOND™ Valve - 1H MODEL#: RP50587WW does not determine water flow, If your water is not hot enough we recommend turning the water heater to 120 or lower, making sure the hot ad cold supplies are open equally and lastly flushing the faucet fully. Please see the instructions below.
I would like you to keep the handle in the center full-on position, then remove the wand. Hold the hose, so it does not fall back into the faucet, then point the hose into the sink. Next, I would like you to turn the faucet on by touch for 40 seconds. Then shut the faucet off by touch and back on for another 40 seconds.
Then hold the handle and move it off and then back on without letting go for another 40 seconds. Once this has been done, please re-install the wand and check for leaking.
Next, check the supply lines for debris:
Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines.
Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water.
Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket.
Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply.

All i need is the orange washer on the bottom. How do I get one

Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The orange seal on the bottom of the cartridge is not available as an individual part. The RP50587 would need to be replaced.

I have Pilar 4380-DST. Previously I used RP50587 when replacing the cartridge. I see cartridge 50587WW. Can you tell me the difference in the cartridges, whether both cartridges are compatible with my faucet and whether one cartridge lasts longer.
Thank you for your question, Marcia! The Delta RP50587WW cartridge is the same cartridge as RP50587. The only difference is the way RP50587WW is packaged, and it is only orderable through WW Grainger. There is no difference between this cartridge and RP50587.

If the RP50587 cartridges are packaged in what appears to be the Delta name brand, is there any difference in the cartridges sold in big box stores and those sold by Delta? I'm seeing some that say Chrome, some with brass and plastic, etc.
