I am trying to use universal trim # BT14496-OB and the sleeve is too short

It appears my remodel created a situation where the valve is not deep enough in the wall. If I had a sleeve that was about 3/4 of an inch longer I would not have any issues. I need a longer sleeve to go into the escutcheon. Help please before I call a plumber to break my new wall apart.

Hi Phillip, Thank you for your question. The trim sleeve for the model BT14496-OB is approximately 2.7" long. We offer a 3.5" long trim sleeve but unfortunately not in the (OB) oil rubbed bronze finish. I have a delta lewiston shower faucet model 174902-ss

is there a longer sleeve for this model, there is a 1/2 inch gap between the escutcheon and current sleeve, not not is there one close to the same Finish that will work? I really do not want to have to call back the tile guy to take off the tile so the plumber can reset the valve body, I do not if the plumber or tile guy screwed up but now its up to me to make my client happy.

changing from brass to chrome

I have a delta shower that is very similar in appearance to p/n T14255-LHP--H712--R10000-UNBX. However mine is brass and I would like to switch to chrome. I need a p/n for the faceplate, sleeve, and handle kit. I already bought a new delta shower head. My faceplate is 7 inches, and my trim sleeve is 3 1/2 inches.

I have a trim sleeve where the smaller diameter portion is about 1" long as opposed to the approx. .6" length for replacements i have been able to find. Do you know which trim sleeve replacement i should get?

Hello, Thank you for your question! The inner diameters of the smaller and larger ends of the RP22735 and RP39407 are identical. The RP22735 measures 2.83" long on the larger diameter and .605" long on the smaller diameter. I am installing shower trim 142996-OB. The included trim sleeve is too short. Do you sell a longer one?

My old trim sleeve was 3.5 inches long. The included one is approximately 2.5 inches long.

On the T14459 there is no spacer shown on the parts list to keep the trim sleeve from sliding in and out of the escutcheon, is this the way it is supposed to function?
