Good Example of Bad Design
Terribly flawed part..... all I need is the plastic. As many have noted the plastic tabs break, but Delta won't send you that part, instead they spend ~$90 list price to send you this entire assembly.

Bad design, costing Delta $$ for rework
The four plastic tabs that hold the sleeve (RP51481) attached will break easily and cannot be ordered separately. I appreciate the free replacement of the entire sleeve, but this is a known issue (see other reviews) and Delta is wasting money through warranty when it should have been designed better up-front. That money of course gets rolled into the price we pay for future products.

Bad design. Cheap plastic insert that breaks.
There is a piece of black plastic in this assembly with four tabs which hold the trim piece snug to the counter, These break easily. The plastic piece cannot be replaced without buying the entire expensive metal trim. Bad design and predatory pricing. Cost over $50 to replace a 10 cent plastic piece.

Unfortunately, there is no part number for the plastic part with the tabs. The entire RP51481 sleeve will have to be ordered.

Is Artic Stainless similar to brushed nickel look?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Arctic Stainless finish has a bluish tint to it and does more closely resemble brushed nickel finish and the stainless steel appliances that are out in the market today.

What is Included with the Sleeve Assembly
The sleeve assembly spins around freely on my faucet. The black plastic tabs on the inside, which is attached to the single handle valve assembly have broken off so it doesn't lock on and stay in one place.
Does this sleeve assembly have that plastic lock piece? In my attached photo, you can see that the plastic tabs that lock the sleeve assembly have broken off.

Will this part work with the Kate 16970-SD-DST faucet?
Thank you for your question, Raiderman2k! The RP51481 is not the correct sleeve assembly for a 16970-SD-DST. The correct part number for the sleeve assembly for that faucet is RP51514. I have included a link to the parts diagram of that faucet, for you to refer to.

is the black part that holds the sleave in place available as a separate part? The piece on top of the sleave that has 4 clips that holds the sleave in place.

We have a Delta, single handle faucet #978-sssd-dst and in replacing Bonnet nut, RP50587 and in doing so, I broke two of the 4 black plastic flanges that stick up on RP46750. Can I order that black plastic part?

We have a Leland single handle - on/off is controlled by separate handle. Cannot remove cartridge that leaks to install new. Can I purchase handle with cartridge only?
