Our Delta Faucet DRYDEN™ Escutcheon - 17T Series MODEL#: RP52583SP is a 7" x 7" escutcheon plate, the internal diameter is not something needed for installation. We recommend installing the valve with the plaster guard, and it does require the hole to be the size of the plaster guard. Please see the link for valve installation below.
