Q&A

Is this the red and blue cap?

Hi not sure if this is the correct part. Have lost the red and blue cap that covers the screw - the drawing doesn't look right. Also not sure of the finish- it is not chrome - more like a brushed nickel/stainless. Thanks

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP53879AR is a red and blue button used to hide the set screw on kitchen faucets.

Why is there a price different between the stainless and the artic stainless?

Asked by: Caren
Hello Caren, Thanks for your question! Our finishes are applied through a variety of different methods. This partially contributes to the difference in cost. Best Regards, Justin

Any tips on installing button?

Asked by: doug
Hi Doug, Thank you for your question. The button should stay in place when you press it into the hole. If it doesn't, please make sure the set screw hole is clean by soaking it with a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution for about 15 minutes and wipe it using a cotton swab. Best regards, Jon

How do I remove the handle button?

I need to access the set screw.
Asked by: Flash
Hi Flash, Thank you for your question! You can use a fingernail or something with a point to carefully pry it out. If you use a tool, please be sure not to scratch the finish on the handle or button. Best regards, Jon

how do you remove the hot/cold button on the faucet handle to get to the setscrew

Asked by: ross
Hi Ross, Thank you for the questions. The button can be removed with either your finger nails or something small and flat like a screw driver. You just want to be very careful not to scratch up the handle. Best Regards---Beverly
