Q&A

Are there and videos on how to replace this part? I have a slow leak coming from the black part just below the diverter.

I have a Delta 4453-DST faucet
Asked by: DJ
Hi DJ, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not offer a how to video for your specific repair. Step 2B on page 4 of the attached manual will show you how to remove the plug and add the sprayer. The step will be the same to remove the sprayer and add the plug. You will basically pull the diverter clip open, pull the sprayer hose out, and insert the plug. Finish by pushing the clip closed and back into place. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/4453-dst.html?document=mi&fromDetailArea=kitchen&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper Thanks, Dave

On a 2480-DST faucet, if the customer does NOT want the spray, does the RP54269 cap & O ring take the place of the spray hose tube end? Or is there a similar model faucet without the spray hose?

Asked by: Millworkman
Hi, Millworkman! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP54269 Spray Cap will fit the end valve on the Delta 2480-DST faucet to eliminate the need for a sprayer assembly. Best Regards, Rosanna

Hi, Will this cap/plug fit the 21988lf-ob model? If not, which cap would? Thank you Al

Asked by: Alex
Hi Alex, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP54269 Spray Cap & O-Ring. I am sorry this information was not readily available, and I am happy to help! Faucet model 21988lf-OB would not use this cap for the sprayer. This faucet would use a square quick connect for the sprayer hose. A cap for this connection is part number RP60295. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP60295.html Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Plug keeps blowing out under normal water pressure even though there is no sprayer on this model. It  not visibly damaged & has never been used although the unit had to be reseated in a new countertop. Is there any solution?

Is this the same as diverter plug that is used if not using the side sprayer? If so can it be used if the side sprayer was installed in the past but now isn't needed?
