The spout on our Trinsic kitchen faucet occasionally becomes loose. If we spin it around a few full rotations, it becomes stable again. Would replacing this retainer solve thos problem?

Delta varos 19792z-spsd-dst. Spacer broken/piece cracked off and replacement rp60923 spacer has several vertical ridges which won’t accommodate spout. Original spacer does not have the ridges. Thanks

Do these parts go inside the sleeve valve assembly?
