The selection of parts and service was very good. That said, trying to match my Delta faucet and find the correct parts was somewhat difficult. This seems to be normal for Delta parts as I searched for the part to fix my faucet.

Q&A
What is the function of RP61? We ordered part and the little spring that fits into the packing was destroyed because there were no instructions and we tried to push it in not realizing that the cam and packing separated for easy installation.
Thank you for your question, Kath! I'm sorry for any confusion with this part. The RP61 Cam and packing assembly is not meant to separate as the original version did. This part was redesigned to be one single piece and is meant to keep pressure on the ball assembly. If you have an adjusting ring in the cap, this will need to be removed as it is no longer needed.

Trying to replace an old RP-61 with new design. in a previous e-mail you stated to remove the Adjusting ring in the cap.My cap has 4 threads on the inside top of the cap. Is this what you mean? If so, how does it come out? Tried with fingers,no luck.

Our Delta Faucet DELTA® Cam Assembly - Lever Handle MODEL#: RP61 is our newer and updated design, the old cam and packing needed the adjusting ring. The adjusting ring is located on the top of the cap, this would need to be unthreaded by fitting something into the groves and turning counterclockwise.

On your model 172, part RP 61 (Cam & Packing), is the gasket and O ring replaceable separately or only replaced as a unit? Is there an adjustment ring on this model (I'm not sure what I am looking for)?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP61. We recommend replacing this part if the faucet leaks under the handle. Because of the newer design of this replacement cam and packing, the adjusting ring on the cap should be removed. We don't carry the parts of this assembly separately.

I need a new aerator for my Waterfall 174-WHWF. I tried a generic one from the hardware store but it won't screw on. Can I still get a Delta aerator in white?

The aerator for the 174-WHWF is still available for purchase under the part number RP18508WH. Please give us a call to order your repair parts. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I have a model 473-ss single handle pullout kitchen model (2008). I tried to replace the RP-61 cam assembly with the new design. Could not fit down over the RP-70 ball all the way to allow the RP-1050 to fit properly. Do you have any old style cams

2002 vintage Delta single hndl faucet, Cam inst has a small narrow plastic protrusion which locks into a narrow notch on the valve body. The cam I have has a wider protrusion that won’t fit into the valve body notch. What cam part should I use?.
