Finish peeling off
Like everyone else here has already mentioned the finish is coming off. I thought I was buying quality product when I purchased. Very disappointing.

Matte Black finish peeled off
The drain assembly has not held up. Like another customer, our matte black coating peeled off revealing the brass base less than 3 years after install. We will try another brand for replacement.

tailpiece outside diameter smaller than standard
the tailpiece is less than 1 1/4 inch. Closer to 1 1/8 inch. Which means that the standard gasket through which the tailpiece protrudes, which is made to fit over an 1 1/4 OD tailpiece, has a gap which admits draining water. I noticed this when foaming soap was used for hand washing. Bubbles flowed right up around the tailpiece.
Solution: Delta could provide a gasket with an 1 1/8 inch through-hole to slip over the tailpiece.
Note: the 1 1/8 inch gasket I referenced above is NOT a standard size. At least one plumbing supply house I contacted does not carry a gasket of that size (it makes up into an 1 1/2 p-trap with a coupling nut)
further note: the p-trap is PVC. Standard 1 1/2, nothing fancy. Was working fine with the old chrome 1 1/4 inch tailpiece coming off a Delta drain assembly.
Reality solution: old standby plumber's putty.

How does the drain do with well water and water softener? Will it break down in color and corrode?

Can I just get the rod with the ball on it?
Can I just get the rod with a ball on it or do I have to buy the whole drain and every thing? The original rusted into two pieces poor design. Just over two years old.

What is the difference between this model # and the models below?

Hi Freda, Thank you for your question. The only difference between the 2 model numbers is the finish. The RP62472-OB is the oil rubbed bronze finish, and the RP62472-RB is the venetian bronze finish. The Venetian Bronze has more of a brushed look than the Oil Rubbed Bronze. Also the Oil Rubbed Bronze has a blacker tint to it.

There is to plastic ring that go in that go into pivot rod for the pop up drain. Where do they go in front are in back of the knob on the rod

Is there a metal pop-up assembly replacement? can i order a lift rod, too, since this is san lift rod?
Thank you for your question. We do offer a metal pop-up assembly, either with or without the lift rod. The model number for the unit with the lift rod is RP5651 and is available in Chrome, Champage Bronze, Polished Brass, Venitian Bronze, Stainless Steel, and White.
The model number for the unit without the lift rod is RP26533 and is available in Chrome, Champagne Bronze, Polished Brass, Venetian Bronze, and Stainless Steel.

How does the round rubber gasket and plastic piece that fell out when taking the pivot nut off go together?
When I took off the pivot nut from the Pop-up assembly a rubber gasket and a plastic piece (looks like the ball fits into) fell out, yet there is no such items shown on the installation diagrams. I put the piece of plastic then the gasket on the horizontal rod and then put the pivot nut on and tightened it. Now I get leakage around the pivot nut, so are the washer and piece of plastic necessary and if so why are they not pictured in the diagrams to show how they are installed?

Thank you for your question. The black rubber gasket and white plastic pivot seat are usually inside of the tail piece, where the horizontal rod connects. To install these parts in your Delta Plastic Pop-Up assembly RP62472, you would install in the white plastic Pivot seat next to the ball (of the horizontal rod) and black rubber gasket then goes on right next to it.

I ordered (2) two RP62472RB "Venetian Bronze" but received both Drain Assemblies in a finish that clearly appears to be RP62472OB "Oil Rubbed Bronze". The Image of RB Venetian Bronze is a mostly solid color with little to no highlighting.

The metal horizontal rod attaches to the drain assembly under the sink. The thin plastic strap is what the lift rod of the faucet attaches to to open and close the stopper assembly. Is there a tailpiece like this without overflow holes?

Hi Steve, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not offer a traditional style pop up drain assembly without overflow holes. We do offer a grid strainer less overflow RP47648▲, and push pop up style drain assemblies less overflow models 72172▲, and 72174▲.

Can I buy just the plastic drain body
I damaged the plastic tail pipe when installing on my pedestal sink. I have all the other working parts but need a new plastic down pipe, do I have to buy the whole kit for this? I looked at Homedepot but the replacement options have a different threading pattern that what the bronze drain cover will thread onto.

Pop up assembly-no rubber gasket under sink bowl flange
I purchased (2) bath faucets. The sink bowls require a rubber gasket to allow the sink to fill up with water while the stopper is in the down position. Even with the stopper in the down position the sink will not hold water very long. Is there a thin rubber gasket that will fit just under the stopper flange assembly? Silicone will not work. This gasket is not for the stopper itself, but the flange that it slides into which is then connected to the lift rod mechanism. Gap is approximately 1 mm and will not seal with silicone. It needs a rubber gasket. Is this available??

Is it possible to just get a replacement pivot nut and stopper in oil rubbed bronze? My faucet is working wonderfully, however the finish on the pivot nut/stopper have hard water stains and is no longer oil rubbed bronze. I don’t need the entire assembly.

Unfortunately, a replacement pivot nut for this drain assembly is not currently available as an individual part. I apologize for the inconvenience this causes. The replacement stopper RP5648 is not available in oil-rubbed bronze. RP5648RB in Venetian bronze would be the closest match.

Will this pop-up fit/Work with a 15757LF – RB Faucet?

This drain would be a replacement for the faucet model 15757LF-RB. The oil-rubbed bronze (OB) finish is similar to our Venetian bronze (RB) finish. The drain is also available in Venetian bronze finish as RP62472RB.
