Do I need a special tool to remove the RP62776 handle set screw button? I need to change the RP50587 valve assembly on my 4153-DST.

Asked by: george
Hello george, Thank you for your question! We apologize that the information you are searching for was not readily available and I am happy to assist you! We thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We recommend using a small tool such as a toothpick or safety pin to remove the button and access the set screw for the Delta Faucet model 4153-DST Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet. We also recommend flushing the unit before installing a replacement cartridge. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the middle position, fully open, then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and turn on both supplies. Check flow from the faucet. Please contact us back directly via email with any further questions. Best Regards, Skyler

I have a Leland model 9178-BL-DST kitchen faucet. The button covering the set screw has become damaged and no longer shows the red and blue temperature indicator dots. Is the RP73192 the same size and thus will fit in place of the original RP62776 button?

Asked by: Jim05
