Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect replacement I read the information on my faucet and the leaking and it told me to order two parts which I found on your website. They fit perfectly and fixed the problem without the plumber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Parts for Delta Faucet This plus the RP4993 seals fixed the leaking problem. Seals from the local big box home improvement store did not. Evidently it pays to get actual parts from the manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great part Through no fault of Delta, the hard water here was stuck to the old ball assembly & also tore up the original valve seats
Date published: 2016-04-09
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't help Leaky faucet, changed the RP70 ball and the RP4993 springs/seats, and it still leaks just as bad. There's nothing else to change!!
Date published: 2014-07-15
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrong Item! This was the second of two attempts to find a replacement part for a Delta faucet, specifically the ball assembly. Unfortunately the Delta folks have modified their parts on the Delta faucet but haven't changed the number of the faucet. The 2005 version of the faucet I purchased is not the same interior parts of the current model. It would have been so much easier for Delta to change the number of the faucet - even with some added letters after the 203 or whatever. So I gave up!

Does this ball fit delta acrylic single handle shower? I don't have the model number but the unit is about +30 years old.

Asked by: Daniel
Hi Daniel, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP70. A Delta shower that uses a ball assembly and a knob handle would use RP212 ball assembly for a knob or can use RP20111 conversion ball to use a lever handle. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP212.html See a 600 series shower manual here: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/33778_v1.pdf Please reach out with any additional questions! I have a 156 SSWF Victorian faucet. The water only turns off if you position the lever in a specific place. Do you have replacement parts for this?

Asked by: Paul
Hello Paul, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry this information was not readily available, and I am happy to help you! The Delta Faucet DELTA® Ball Assembly - Lever Handle - Stainless Steel MODEL#: RP70 would not have to be replaced unless it's damaged, the leak your experiencing is caused by the seals. The RP4993 is not sealing properly, and we would recommend replacing those and flushing the faucet. I have included a link to the parts diagram as well as step-by-step flushing instructions below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/Models_155_156-WF.pdf Here are the steps for flushing your faucet: Please shut water supplies off before starting this process. You will need 1/8” Allen wrench, needle nose pliers, a quarter, towel, and bucket. 1. We are going to flush the diverter first; to do this we will need to remove the spout. Please unthread the spout bonnet counterclockwise and pull the spout straight up to remove. Inside you will see a black plastic piece. This is your diverter. 2. Please place your quarter in the slots on the diverter and take your needle nose pliers to twist it out counterclockwise. 3. Place the bucket behind the spout and around ONE of the handles. Please turn both water supplies on. Please flush this out for about 30 seconds to a minute. 4. Please remove your handle with the 1/8" Allen wrench. 5. Please pull the handle off of the cap. You may remove the cap and the spout at the time. 6. You will now see the Cam & Packing and stem to the ball assemble. Please remove these. 7. If you look into the valve, you should see a seat and spring. Please pull these pieces out before we flush. 8. Please place the towel behind the back of the faucet then put the bucket over the top of the towel. 9. Please have someone turn the cold water supply on for about 30 seconds to a minute. After this, shut the cold water off and move the bucket and towel to the hot side and now flush this side out as well. Thank you for being a loyal Delta customer. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

An old shower valve 1970?leaks. What do I need    Ball and stem ??would picture help??

Asked by: Jim1943
Hi Jim1943, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! It is possible that flushing the product could resolve this issue. To do this, turn off the water supplies, remove the cartridge, and turn the supplies back on for one minute. Please make sure that you are getting good flow through both the hot and cold sides while flushing. You can also shake the cartridge back and forth to make sure the back half of the cartridge rattles. This means that the pressure-balancing spool is moving freely, as it should. We also have how-to videos on our website and on our YouTube channel. https://www.deltafaucet.com/service-parts/how-to-videos We would also recommend changing the Seats & Springs MODEL#: RP4993. Parts can be purchased online or locally.
