Delta 12" grab bar 41812-RB. Received one box mounting kit hardware. For non-stud drywall kit provided 1 x 5" metal wall anchor 1 x 3 in machine screw and 1 x 2 3/4" circular mounting plate with 3 small screws OK for one end. Should kit include two sets?

Will this work with the 51900 grab bar?

Hi Low1, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP72402. For proper installation, both ends of the 51900 slide bar / grab bar must be installed into a wall stud. I have a Delta 41812 grab bar that I am mounting vertically, the instructions say to use only one wall mount RP72402 on the top mount. Can I use the RP72402 for the top and bottom mount if no stud is available on the tile shower wall position.

how many lbs will they support?

Our grab bars are tested up to 300 lbs when properly installed. At least one end of the grab bar should be installed into a stud, or the maximum weight will be reduced. I can’t get this to go in all the way do I need to drill a big hole? I drilled a 1 inch hole but it seems like The insulation in the drywall is preventing it to go any further. What can I do?

Hi Big Tuna, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP72402 wall anchor. This works with wallboard between 1/2" and 2 1/2" thick. 3 1/2" space is needed behind the wall. Any obstructions would need to be removed. With the bar pointed downward, insert the bar into the wall. Once the bar is completely inside the wall, pull outward/back on the flange and ensure the bar tilts upward behind the wall and straightens upright. Installing 41818 grab bar with hollow wall mount on one end and stud mount the other end. Is there a spacer available so that the bar is mounted equidistant from the wall on both ends, as the hollow mount adds an 8th inch vs direct wall attachment.

There is no spacer to cover a space for this model, however, once installed according to the instructions, trhe 41818 escutcheons will cover the screws and anchor showing in the wall.
