How does the handshower base attach securely
to the base that it rests on?

Thank you for your question. The hand shower base threads onto the Nest portion of the Hand Spray Support Assembly, RP40666.

I am missing the o-ring that is pictured here so the base is loose in the set screw. How can I obtain one? Thank you!

The black plastic base mount is broke on my base mount. Can I buy just it and if not can I by this piece in polished nickel?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP72721 hand shower base.
The black plastic hand shower nest is available as RP40665.
The finished base RP72721 is not currently available in polished nickel. RP72721PN is discontinued as an individual part.
