REVIEWS
Rated 2 out of 5 by from It works, but an unhappy journey I did a lot of work ahead of time looking up old documentation validating the exact right part — RP73000! Ordered the part and was sent me the wrong part. Called back, Delta said they’d send again overnight express. Took 6 days to arrive. This one was an RP7300, but the package had already been opened and the cartridge was loose in the shipping bag. I installed it anyway and had the exact same problem other reviewers had that the stem wasn’t threaded. Removed the cartridge from the faucet and by force-turning the screw into the stem with the allen wrench, it created a thread in the soft metal of the stem. Reinstalled and it works. Side note - the Brizo side of Delta is fabulous.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Threads in Stem for Set Screw I purchased this part through Amazon. It is a Delta Genuine Part. There are no threads in the stem so the set screw cannot be installed. I will return the unit to Amazon and request a replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible quality DO NOT BUY I’m incredibly disappointed with the quality and design of this product. It’s over-engineered in all the worst ways. The small handles may look sleek, but the internal design is a nightmare. I expected better from Delta. This level of complexity and complete lack of repairability is unacceptable. It feels like Delta intentionally created an overly complicated valve system just to ensure constant replacements. These valves fail every 2–3 years, and at $60 each time, it's a complete rip-off. For a brand with Delta’s reputation, this is disgraceful. I’m upset and expect Delta to stand behind their product and offer to repair or replace it free of charge. Otherwise, I’ll be replacing the entire faucet—with a different brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Original broken metal post connecting valve to handle broken clean off faucet is 6 years old virtual assist is useless and can't find an email address for customer service. sounds like this should be covered by a warrenty

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality part though lacking QC The cartridge seems like a quality part but the manufacturing quality control is lacking. Upon installing the new cartridge I noticed the hole on metal stem was missing threads, all Part seems to be of quality components except that the metal stem was missing threads. This is something that should have been caught during the manufacturing process. Another trip back to the big box store for a good replacement. Fit and operation were fine with the new cartridge. Would have been 4 stars without this added inconvenience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install with help The stem on my valve broke in half after 6 years of use. Delta sent me a replacement free of charge. I really appreciated the quick response and overnight shipping of the part. However, some instructions are needed to replace the unit. There is a hole in the stem where the handle is attached with a screw. The hole is not threaded and I thought it was the wrong part, but after sending an email to customer support, I learned the screw taps the threads when you screw it in the hole. This can't be done with the valve installed in the faucet as it requires too much force to start the threads. Once I understood this the valve was replaced and worked as designed. I am very happy with Delta's warranty and their rapid response sending replacement parts.

Q&A

How do you attach the screw that holds the handle on then. Is it meant to be self tapping

Asked by: Delta question
Hi Delta question, Thanks for reaching out! The set screw on the handle is self-tapping. The hole in the stem of the cartridge does not come with threads, but once installed the cartridge may have threads cut into it by the set screw. Best regards, Jon

Can the cartridge be adjusted to change the maximum temperature of the water coming out of the faucet?

Asked by: Joey
Thank you for your question, Joey! This cartridge is not adjustable and does not actually control the temperature coming into the faucet but rather simply controls the amount of hot and cold water allowed to mix in the valve. You may need to check the setting on your water heater, however we do not recommend setting this above 120 degrees. Best regards, Edward

Does the cartridge include the "infinity" shaped rubber seal that goes on the end of the cartridge?

Asked by: Agree
Hello Agree, Thanks for reaching out! We do not manufacture any o-rings or "infinity" seals for our faucet cartridge assembly. The set screw on the handle is self-tapping. The hole in the stem of the cartridge does not come with threads, but once installed the cartridge may have threads cut into it by the set screw. Best regards, Tanya

I have a leak in my Trinsic faucet, model no. 9159-AR-DST.  On your website it says the replacement cartridge would be RP60114, but the tech person answering the phone said it was RP73000.  Why is it different on your website?

Asked by: Mac486
Hello Mac486, Thank you for your inquiry! For the Trinsic models produced before 08/01/2018 take an RP60114 cartridge, rather than an RP73000 cartridge. I have included a link to the RP60114 cartridge's web page, for you to refer to. https://www.amazon.com/Brizo-Venuto-Euro-Motion-Valve-Assembly/dp/B004E280G6/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2SB8LTV7BHVK7&keywords=rp60114&qid=1572287957&s=hi&sprefix=rp60114%2Ctools%2C170&sr=1-1 Best regards, Tanya
