Rated 2 out of 5 by from Initially okay, but not good over the long haul. I purchased this RP743ORB tub strainer to coordinate with other Delta Venetian Bronze fixtures and hardware in my bathroom. The part performed satisfactorily for a few years. I thought it was made of brass, but its rusted and falling part, and no longer functions as intended. At $40, this part is extremely overpriced for a piece of thin metal. I am looking for a replacement pursuant to Delta's lifetime warranty on finish and functionality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brand new Delta strainer rusting! I recently bought this strainer on Amazon, easy install, tub was professionally restored, it was perfect! All porcelain. After about 4 uses, rust is now developing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money! This is the worst designed tub strainer - do not buy! I purchased three of these strainers to match my new Dryden fixtures. The design of this product does not allow for all of the water to drain out of the tub. The dome and the drain holes are above the water level. I literally have to wipe out the water around the strainer, wringing out the cloth several times. I am now forced to purchase new toe tap drains and matching overflow plates, at a very large cost. Delta needs to rectify this design problem.

Is this a 4" drain? I need this color but was hoping to get a design with the two screws on the outer part of the drain not in the center.. is this available this way?

Will this screw fit into a bath tub drain where a pop up stopper was? The stopper is the pull up kind and not lever activated.

Thank you for your question, James! The RP7430BN dome strainer will only work with a drain assembly that has a lever on the over flow plate. The drain would have to be open and closed with a lever on the overflow plate. Best Regards, Benjamin

Fits all delta drains?

I have a monitor shower/tub with a drain stopper. I am looking for the strainer that will screw into the same spot as the stopper. What is the diameter of the strainer? Will this strainer fit all Delta shower/tub drains? Thanks!
