Will these seats and springs work for the 540 bathroom faucet?

Thank you for your inquiry. The part number RP77737 does include the correct seats and springs for a pre-DST model faucet, however, the part number RP4993 would be more appropriate and can easily be found at most retailers.

Is this repair kit the same as RP46073?
According to my research, RP46073 is the replacement kit for repairing a 1700 series tub / shower faucet. But Home Depot recommended RP77737. Are these two kits the same?

Are these the correct parts for RP19804 13/14 series prior to 2006
Thank you for your question, Jerry. The RP4993 seats and springs will fit in any pre-2006 1300/1400 series or MutliChoice 13/14 series cartridge.
RP77737 is the same as RP4993 but includes straight springs for pre-1970 faucets.

does this product work with RP1740 stem assembly?
I have found the stem assembly i need to fix a broket hot water handle. I need the seat as well and want to confirm this item will provide what is needed or if there is another part?
Hi Gregg, Thank you for your question. The RP77737 seats and springs kit will work with the RP1740 stem assembly. If your faucet is newer than 1976 then the RP4993 seats and springs will work for your repair.

How do you install RP77737 in an existing faucet
Thank you for your question, Lawrence! The straight springs in this kit are meant for pre-1970 faucets however the standard RP4993 seat and springs can be inserted wide-end first with the open portion of the seat sitting on top.
