Rated 5 out of 5 by from CAM Question Why is the CAM now BLACK? I have been using these replacement parts since 1977 when we installed Delta products in our 3 bathrooms off our new home. The CAM previously had 1 black part and 1 white part. The CAM does not look the same either as before the color change. WHY THE CHANGE? I am a registered DELTA customer on all replacement fixtures since 2009. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent kit, packaging and instructions could be I bought two kits for a lavatory sink and a shower. They were easy to install and took care of my slow leaks that had gone unnoticed until I re-piped the bathroom and pressure tested with air. I did not give this kit an excellent rating because when I opened the first kit and removed the clear plastic packaging from the cam and packing assembly, the packing seal fell out of the cam and I did not know how it went in until I bought the second kit. Customer Service was no help with this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality has gone downhill I have used this same RP77739 kit in the past with no problems but more recently there have been issues. Of the last three I purchased, only one was good. One kit was missing two parts (easily seen since I ordered two kits at the same time). One kit looked fine, but after installation the faucet slowly dripped only when the knob was turned to the far right in the off position. I disassembled it again and everything looked fine, so I switched the ball with one from another new kit and it works fine now. I advised Delta and they are sending me another new ball. Also, if the old dome is so badly stuck that nothing will remove it, Delta makes a RP20587 Removal Wrench that is reasonably priced and available on Amazon or Lowes. I have used it twice with great success on Chrome and it did no damage to the dome. I needed a rubber mallet to make sure the tool completely covered the chrome splines, because it is an extremely tight fit (which is why it works). I was curious why it is listed for Chrome only, but the instruction sheet states it might not fit “other colors due to the specialized buildup of coatings”. I don’t know why Delta doesn’t mention this tool in their instruction sheets with repair kits, because it can save a lot of time and frustration.
