I called customer service to have a new one shipped due to the missing part. Guess what is also missing in the box of the newly arrived second kit. My valve is only about 1/4” to an 1/2” too short can this extension kit be used to this length or does it have to be a minimum of 1”? I know the diverter extension can be cut down. Can this extension be cut down as well?

How much of the slide trim sleeve does Delta recommend to be visible? Or what range is recommended?

Thank you for your question, Rodger! RP77992 can provide an additional 1-3/4 in. of wall thickness but there is no set recommendation as this will vary slightly from installation to installation. Best regards, Edward

The previous response did not answer my question... Using a R10000-UNWS for installing a T17464-RB, what is the maximum allowable wall thickness without using an extension kit? I tried calling support and there were 53 callers ahead of me.

Hi David51, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The distance from the stringer to the front of the black plaster guard is 2 3/4" + or - 1/4" inch. This is the same distance to the finished wall. If your finished wall is outside of these dimensions, you may need an extension kit. I have a T27867-ss Ara 2 handle monitor 17 series valve trim with 3 setting diverter. What is the proper extension kit or do I need only longer screws for a wall more than 1 1/4 inches thick.

With extension kit what holds escutcheon plate on if bracket is not used?.

Can this be used to extend the r11000 rough in diverter if it it recessed?

I have a T17430 shower body that’s is installer put 1” inside off the tile wall .. Will the RP77992 kit work to extend the trims properly ? Or will we have to open up the walls and bring the shower body closer ?
