REVIEWS
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I give the battery box a FAIL rating I was about to try to buy a replacement battery box for this faucet as mine has frequently popped its top and hence no water at the tap. I laughed when I read all of the reviews that all refer to the same problem. I am very surprised that Delta had not redesigned or chosen a different type of battery box as there are many on the market that do not close in the same way. Delta, this is not a good look for a company I have thought of a good one. My solution, wide and long zip tie. It does the job, I just cut it off once a year and change the batteries and put on a new one. I shouldn't have to do this but I didn't want it to beat me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery holder compartment Obviously, Per all the same complaints this product is defective, and Delta should replace the product under the lifetime guarantee of the faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DELTA FAUCET ADDISON TOUCH KITCHEN FAUCET OIL RUBB MY WIFE AND I BOUGHT THIS FAUCET ON 6/22/2023. BEING IT WAS 406.99 PLUS TAX WE ASSUMED IT WAS A QUALITY BUILD. UNFORTUNATELY IT HAS BEEN NOTHING SHORT OF PLEASANT. THE DOUBLE AA BATTERIES CONSTANTLY SHOOT OUT AFTER THE LID POPS OFF. CHEAP PLASTIC. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY A NORMAL FAUCET. THIS SETUP IS GARBAGE.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faucet is great, battery box sucks. I am a happy delta fauct customer. I have it all over my house. I have convinced friends and family to spend the extra money on delta products. This is the only negative thing i have to say is this battery box SUCKS! It keeps breaking. Couldnt i just splice the wires and hook it up to another box of a different design? BTW customer service for Delta is GREAT! They always help out and provide great service.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deserves a Negative -10 Rating! Have had my Delta faucet several years and as previous reviews state, the battery box was ridiculously designed! For the price of the faucet, Delta should have done the decent thing with a recall and better replacement. Instead, they excuse their inferior product with a nonsensical response of product warranty as you see reading the other reviews.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective - Sort Of Since the cap pops off like a jack-in-the-box, I was skeptical that replacing the bottom would fix the issue. But it actually has. I've reinforced it with rubber bands, so that perhaps it will last longer than the first. I removed one star because I'm pretty shocked the design hasn't been improved. This is a pretty obvious failure point for faucet as a whole.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Same issue as others I have had my faucet for a few years. The faucet is nice, but the battery holder is a pain. I too, have had to duct tape it. Sometimes it pops open with duct tape so I have had to wrap all the way around. This is very frustrating.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Battery Holder I've had my faucet for a couple of years or more and love it but hate the battery holder. I have to duct tape it closed. Have you redesigned it yet? Is there another alternative? Is it worth getting a replacement or just keep closing it with duct tape? The problem is if I have house sitters and it pops open, they have no water in the kitchen sink. I hope you have a suggestions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from battry box the problem I have had with this thing is it doesn't want to stay closed the top cap has the tendency to pop off which makes the faucet unusable need to put rubber bands to hold it on

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unhappy also I too have to use duct tape to hold together. Your two tabs are worthless. You need to redesign it. I'm a homebuilder and have used multiple brands. Brizo is the only one with this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the Solution. After installation approximately 4 plus years ago when I changed the batteries this time the battery box would not stay close--it would pop open over and over. Installing the replacement battery box fixed the problem. THANKS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved problem of battery box separating f Just installed. This solved the problem where the plastic tabs on the top of my old battery box were bent and the battery box would separate from the wire terminal. Only took a minute to switch. So far it is holding. I will update if the tabs on this unit stop holding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the old one, I hope! I bought this approximately one week ago to replace the original one. I had had to tape the original one to keep it from coming apart. The new one snapped right on and has held, so far. It was easy to install.

Q&A

My battery box keeps  separating from the top solenoid. It wont hold together. Want to buy replacement part but there is no photo. Is the top also included?

Asked by: Daniel
My battery box keeps separating from the top solenoid. It wont hold together. it is a very poor product development and I am about to take out the whole faucet because of that. Can I use an adapter instead of the batteries to connect the solenoid to it?

does this product come with the cord attached to it? if not, how do i attach the cord

Asked by: Julie
Hi, Julie! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP78389 Battery Pack does not include the cord. The cord that connects the solenoid and the battery box will be on the solenoid assembly, itself. Best Regards, Rosanna

I seem to have the same problem with my battery pack as many other people. I’ve had this faucet for about 6 years and the past few months the top of the battery pack continues to pop off. I’ve used duct tape and that only lasts for a short time.

I installed my faucet in March and just changed my batteries for the first time a week ago.  It is already flashing red to change the batteries.  The batteries look a little corroded inside.  Will replacing battery pack help?
