What is the RP78741spring for? I just replaced the RP73000 cartridge in my kitchen sink and found that the old cartridge had this spring in place, However, the RP73000 didn't come with one and none of the instructional videos on YouTube mention it.

The RP78741 spring is used with our touch faucets. It provides the ability to tap the handle to turn the faucet off and on.

I have a kitchen faucet, delta 9159T – CZ – DST the handle fell off. I tried putting it back on, but the water will not come on. I see a spring is there supposed to be an old ring on top of the spring . O ring

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP78741.
This spring connects the handle to the faucet electrically for the Touch2O. The o-ring under the cap on the bonnet nut helps hold the cap in place. It's not used to seal the valve.
