I need help removing the round metal collar/ bonnet cover without damaging it
unable to find instructions for replacing my RP78876 replacement cartridge. please help me locate these.

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP78876.
To replace the cartridge, first remove the handle and the finished cap. With the water supply off, unscrew the bonnet nut and pull the cartridge straight out of the valve. When reinstalling parts, make sure the bonnet is securely tightened with a wrench.

I am 65 and I fell backwards into my tub and broke the shower water valve handle off severing the brass slug that connects the handle to the valve. A plumber I called in told me to request the valve and brass slug. Is it covered under the warranty?

Our products do have a Limited Lifetime Warranty that covers, all parts (other than electronic parts and batteries) and finishes of Delta® faucets purchased from authorized Delta sellers to the original consumer purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns the home in which the faucet was first installed.
