Poor quality plastic part
The plastic piece broke just like the other people who left reviews. Why should I pay to buy a replacement, when that is highly likely to also break. Delta needs to offer an alternative to this poor quality part.

Plastic Temp control knob snapped during install
Seems like the wrong place for a plastic snap on piece. Broke in exactly the same place as other review. Now where to find the replacemnet piece?

This is my 2nd replacement!
This is the second time I've had to get a replacement - both the original and the first replacement control knobs were broken when (different) contractors tried to take the cap off. Note that you have to carefully squeeze the sides of the cap to force the top and bottom tabs over the control knobs tabs. If you try to pry it off any other way you're undoubtedly going to snap one of the tabs off the control knob. It's a $40 - $50 mistake. Very poor product design on Delta's part especially for a component that may require adjustment (i.e. changing max temp). My advice - live without the temp cap until you have adjusted the temp knob for your max and min temps and then and only then snap the cover in place. And never try to remove it.

Is there a non-plastic alternative?
The plastic snapped when putting on. Very frustrating. Still not fixed. Delta, why are you using plastic parts, and do you have a metal alternative. Can't recommend based on this experience, even though water pressure of unit I like.

Where can we order the small gray plastic part that keeps breaking by itself? It doesn't make any sense to sell the expensive part with matching finish when we just need the mass produced brass and gray plastic that's the same for every finish.

Does this have the internal plastic piece? That is what I’m replacing not the brass cover.
