Not happy with the failure and rusting of the original part after only 4 years however the Delta service representative was outstanding and this replacement magnet and tool worked perfect. Other reviewers have complained about the tool breaking, but they must’ve been really putting a lot of torque. The tool worked perfectly, but just take your time and try not to over torque it. The replacement part installed just as easy. Also, the Delta service rep asked if the water head also was discolored or rusted and I hadn’t looked at that so appreciate him bringing it up because it was and also needed to be replaced. All free if charge!

Need a magnet please from
Magnet fail
Initially loved the touch faucet but now it’s a drooping eyesore. Just need a magnet but the $ is way too high. Sounds like a design flaw from reading the reviews. I’m shamelessly hoping Delta will see this and send one out of kindness. Will see.

Poor magnet quality
Can’t believe the magnet during less than a year. We really like the faucet but won’t accept to pay $60 per year in maintenance, which is the cost of changing the magnet every year (20% of the cost of the faucet). If delta knows this problem, it’s easy, just include spares (example 3 magnets + the tool). It will be a job to change the part every year but at least you won’t have to pay the spare. I bought the Essa Touch 2.0 model 9113T-DST on October 2022 and started to have problems in a year.

Rust. Disgusting. Major disappointment...
Well, this isn't good... We noticed our faucet wasn't seating correctly any longer, and when we went to inspection why, we found rust everywhere and the magnetic peice had started falling apart. We first thought it was warped from the hot water, but it was just the nastiness. Wow, all the mo eyes we spent on this and we upgraded to the splash guard too. Such a disappointment. We will never buy this brand again. It is laziness.

Terrible design
I normally don’t leave reviews, however I felt like I needed to warn others about this terrible product.
Like the others I have to purchase replacement magnets because ours rusted out. We are lucky no one choked on a piece when it fell out in our coffee pot!
We should have stuck to Moen!

Poor design
The original magnet rusted and crumbled within the first year so I got replacement magnets and when I tried to carefully install them the plastic tab broke on both of them.
I really love my faucet otherwise. Do you have a replacement for this faucet that won’t rust?

Never buy a Delta product again.
For the kind of money we paid for this touch faucet I would not expect a part that is in constant touch with water to rust this fast but they did. The magnets have completely rusted off and not I have to pay $50.00 to get new ones. That is insane when you consider it's only two small pieces. Not gonna pay that kind of money so we are going to replace the faucet with one from another well known name for have the price of what we paid for this disaster.

Faucet was broken when I purchased -
This faucet was purchased from Amazon. The magnet was broken when it arrived. I purchased two magnets, and both broke immediately. The faucet is a piece of trash and the magnets are cheap plastic that break upon installation. I am very disappointed in Delta. I purchased a Delta product because I thought they were high quality.

Only need the magnets!
The kit is great, but the magnets only last a few years before needing replacement due to blooming rust. Delta should offer a 4-pack or 6-pack of magnets at a reasonable price in addition to the set. One install tool is necessary, certsinly, but one is all anyone needs for a lifetime. Save the plastic waste and expense and please offer only magnets too!

Rusting issue

Poor design, should be replaced by Delta
I replaced the first magnet this past July. The tab that holds the magnet in place broke within a few months. The kit had come with 3 magnets, however when I attempted to install them, each of the tabs broke despite using the install tool properly and carefully. Now I'm spending another $50 and I see the kit only comes with 2 magnets. Delta really needs to pay for these. They have a very poor design and they obviously are not addressing it. I will never buy a delta faucet again. Grohe always replaces any parts free of charge no matter how old the faucet is. Delta needs to step up their game.

I think it's ridiculous to pay that much for a faucet for it to have such a weak link: rusting magnets and the inconvenience of a faucet not functioning properly while I submit the issue, wait for Delta to acknowledge then casually ship a part for repair.

Why can't I just purchase the magnets??
I've had to purchase this kit before due to the magnets rusting, and therefore I already have the installation tool. Why can't I purchase the magnets themselves, at what should be a lower price, without the tool? Given that these magnets need replacement relatively often, having to purchase the tool every time is a waste of my money.

Replace the magnet as soon as you see an issue.
Delta shipped us this kit to fix a faucet with the bulging magnet. The removal tab broke trying to get the old magnet out, it was so stuck in place. I ended up having to carefully cut a section of the magnet out, then the remainder came easily. New magnet went in without an issue.

Part works great for faucet neck but what head?
I bought this kit as I assumed it provided pieces for both neck and head with a 3rd replacement piece for either. I found good youtube videos for replacing the neck piece easily but to no avail as the faucet head magnet is rusted out too? After painstakingly taking the head apart I discovered its a different piece? Now I'm stuck after spending the money. Pretty disappointing. Can you help?

Don’t buy this without contacting Delta!
I just replaced my magnet for a second time. Last time, I contacted Delta via customer service and they didn’t even respond. I just got a shipping notice that this kit was on its way. I don’t mind the lack of response if they’re fixing the problem. Comes with 3 magnets, so I have one more. I just put the kit in a ziploc bag and leave it under the sink. For me it’s been about every 2 years. So not a big deal once you know what to do. Just contact them before buying

Fixing my faucet with the Delta RP80977 tool
The faucet magnet rusted and expended and the faucet head no longer seated correctly onto the neck of the faucet. I went to Delta's website and quickly found the parts and tool I needed to remove the old magnet and replace it with a new magnet. Three magnets were provided. That was good because I broke the first magnet I tried to install. Note: Look underneath the neck opening and, using the tool, fit the lip of the new magnet into the lip opening when attempting to snap the new magnet in place. I found the Delta website easy to use and locate the part I needed. I also found a video on youtube showing me how to perform the magnet removal and replacement. I am very satisfied with the replacement kit that was shipped to me by Delta.

Poor design
This faucet has a poor design. We've gone trhough the original magnet, plus three more from a kit like this. Why? It rusts, no matter how careful one is with trying to prevent it. I don't know if Delta has since changed the design since we purchased our Addison faucet, but if not, I would not recommend it to people. Otherwise, you can expect regular maintenance costs in purchasing this kit to replace the rusted magnetic rings.

Easy fix in under a minute.
The touch two-0 unit that I installed in our kitchen over ten years ago has serve our family wonderfully whether a holiday gathering of 30 or more loved ones or the simple daily uses a kitchen sink goes through. Delta staff are always just a phone call away when I have had questions about any of our Delta fixtures.

Faucet Magnet Replacement
The Delta touch faucet is only about 2 years old and has worked flawlessly! However, there is a magnet in the hose sprayer that clicks the sprayer back to the stem and is broken and rusted. So the sprayer just sort of flopped about. I got curious and went to Delta online and voila there is a kit just for this problem that fits my faucet and many
others. You should check before you order to make sure it fits your faucet model.
So thank you Delta, the kit is easy to use and solved the problem. Now my faucet sprayer works like it is supposed to!

New Magnet fixed sprayer position
The replacement magnet did the trick to fix the sprayer positioning on our Cassidy kitchen faucet. It took only 2 min to remove the old rusted magnet and replace with a new one from the kit. Thanks to Delta/Masco Canada for the awesome customer service in providing this kit.
The Cassidy faucet with on/off touch feature is an excellent choice. We’ve had ours for 5 years now.
