Rated 4 out of 5 by from Installing new magnet I just replaced a magnet in my faucet but rather than letting the hose drop down after removing the sprayer head, I tied a piece of light yarn to the hose end after running it through the center of the magnet. Let the hose go in a few inches, then put the magnet on the installation tool and install it into the faucet. Remove tool and pull hose back out, screw on faucet, done.

Anyone complaining about the price, needs to know Delta will send this to you free of charge for the life of the product as its covered by their lifetime warranty, you just need proof of purchase (they rarely ask for it) OR if you've got a whole bunch of delta products, register them to your address and name and DELTA will keep the records for you. Delta has sent me replacement valves, magnets, cartridges, you name it for my suite of products in our home, only once have I actually been asked for proof of purchase (they say its required). As for these magnets, when you install them, apply lots of silicone grease inside before inserting the magnet and again after around the plastic magnet. The grease isnt their to lube anything, its purpose is to keep water from sitting against the magnet and eventually penetrating and rusting the non-neodinuim magnet.

Then the facuet assembly around magnet area and magnet itself rusted and crumbled after 7 years - this part - I think. Instruction manual included with faucet is completely unclear with regards to what is necessary for fixing the problem with new parts. The spout is discontinued. A key component for fixing the magnetic attachment is shown in the document with no explanation of where it goes or that it is not included with other replacement parts. A pro would know this, but not a once in ten year get under the sink person. I ordered a hose assembly and sprayer assembly, but really needed a wand retainer --- I think.

What is the secret for not breaking the little tab on the magnet when installing?  I’ve already had two failed attempts.

Hello Notaplumber123, Thank you for your question, I would be happy to help. There unfortunately is no trick for install, simply place new magnet on installation end of tool. Ensure that the vertical magnet tab is located between the two aligning features. Magnet tab should be oriented toward back of spout. i have a delta kitchen faucet with a single handle mechanism with a long neck in satin nickel finish. Last week we started having less and less water pressure on this faucet. Is there a way to disconnect the head to see if it clogged?

Hello Bruce Kidd, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. Low flow means there is a blockage or debris, We would recommend to flush the faucet. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. To remove the wand just unthread the wand from the hose, if there is a small black button in that location you would need to push that button before unthreading. (This is only on certain models) If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. We have a Delta 9159T-DST (Trinsic Pull down touch) Faucet. The Magnet in the Faucet is eroded and the pull out part will not stay up. Is your replacement magnet kit for all faucets? I didnt see that there was a specific one for each model.

I installed model 9181-BL-DST just under 5 years ago. The magnet has completely broken apart. Reviewing this website, it seems to be a known common problem with this model faucet. Are replacement parts covered under warranty?

Hi - I have the Lenta faucet MODEL#: 19802TZ-DST.  Will this kit actually work with the faucet? Also, the problem with our faucet is that the ring in the faucet itself rusted and broke in two.  Does this solve that problem?
