Aerator Removal
I like the product but I did need to disassemble the head because my water softener blew media throughout my plumbing. I damaged the aerator and purchased a new head before I figured out how to disassemble the head. The trick is to pry the spray switch out with a small flat head screw driver and then remove one phillips screw. After this the interior assembly will slide out the casing and the lower portion can be unscrewed to access the aerator. However, I can't find a part number for the aerator. Nicole (Digital Communication Specialist) stated that this part was not intended to be serviced. However her stated reason is bogus as you would have to be careless to cross thread the threads I encountered. I like the design of the product and the product itself but I am very disappointed by the lack of a parts diagram, the lack of a part number for the aerator, and the maddening response by Nicole. Product rates a 4, customer support -2, hence my rating of 2.

I agree with the earlier review regarding failure
I came to the site looking for a replacement screen (the little guy inside the head) and saw the review complaining about the head not returning to normal flow after using the spray function. It hasn't done that in years (if ever). I just assumed that was the intended design. But it really is a pretty faucet. Kudos to the form engineer. Function engineer should give it another go. BTW, it would be nice for Delta to sell that little screen individually for those that try to clean it and then watch it go down the drain...

spray is too restricted
We bought this Delta faucet 18 months ago, looks nice but the nozzle is so restricted that it sprays water in narrow jets that splatter everywhere, and we have a deep sink too. You cannot control or adjust these jets of water. It is very difficult to turn on the faucet only half way to lower the pressure, and if not open far enough the spray function does not work at all. The second issue is that once set to spray it does not go back to the normal flow setting after the water is turned off, you must manually reset the faucet to normal flow. Good quality but bad design.

The flow/spray switch is not working on my spray assembly (RP81912). Is it possible to take the assembly apart without damaging the assembly?

No, the Spray Assembly MODEL#: RP81912 is not able to be taken apart without causing damage. It is possible this issue can be resolved by cleaning the product. Please try soaking the product in a 50/50 solution of water and white distilled vinegar. This could break up any possible calcium buildup inside.

I purchased the Delta touch sink faucet 9183T-RB-DST in early 2016. It is black with pull down sprayer. The sprayer head is now leaking. Can I purchase a black replacement sprayer? If so how and where? Can I replace a washer?

How do you disconnect the spray head from the hose on Model 9183T-DST

To disconnect the wand from the hose assembly on the Delta Faucet model 9183T-DST Mateo® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies In Chrome, while pushing in the small button on the end of the hose you will turn the wand counterclockwise until it unthreads completely.

What is the replacement for the Mateo spray assembly 9183-AR-DST since it has been discontinued?

Our RP81912 is used with our Mateo, 9983-DST bar/prep faucet. Our wand assemblies are model specific and are not designed to come apart, aside from some that have a removable aerator.

Is this spray head compatable with Delta 19801Z-SD-DST kitchen faucet?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model RP81912.
This sprayer is a different shape than the sprayer included with the model 19801Z-SD-DST. It would function, but may not match.
A replacement sprayer for the Hyde faucet 19801Z-SD-DST is RP101926PC

I have a Delta Mateo #9183T-AR-DST in an Artic SS finish. It appears that the “gasket” around the sprayer has deteriorated And needs to be replaced. I am wondering if I have to order a complete sprayer assembly or just the gasket/ washer
