You will need this part every one-two years, if you have a Trinsic faucet. While it is fairly easy to replace (you do need to crawl under the sink to disconnect the hose line), the part is an absolutely terrible design. There are 10 plastic nubs that must support the faucet whenever the sprayer is pulled out. With the leverage generated, it's only a matter of time before those nubs wear down and the faucet is loose. For a faucet which costs $721 (retail) this part is a joke. Come on Delta, you can do better.

The spout pulls straight up from the hub and the retainer sits on top of the hub. I have attached the parts breakdown in the link below.
