Nicole, I do not believe this answer is correct. The new trim to fit the old 1700 series roughin are the 17 Series Trims (not the 17T) . I just confirmed with Delta by phone. You just need to use the RP32104 cartridge instead of the one that comes with the 17 Series trim kit

You can replace a 1700 series with a 1300 series if you have a MultiChoice® Universal valve rough (R10000 Series) and replace with the valve cartridge included with the new trim kit.
