Premium Price, Poor Product
I purchased the entire Delta Pivotal set in 2022. It’s an expensive product line, so I expected much better durability. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the black finish started peeling after just a few months. Then in 2025, the hose began leaking everywhere. I contacted Delta to try to get a replacement part, but because I couldn’t produce the original receipt, they refused to help. While I understand it’s my responsibility to keep receipts, I always believed Delta stood behind defective products—especially for a premium-priced line. Apparently that’s no longer the case.
Now I have to pay for a replacement hose that appears to have the same design flaw. If Delta would like to stand behind their product, I’d certainly welcome them reaching out to resolve the issue. Otherwise, after this experience, I’ll be avoiding Delta products in the future.

This is the second of our Delta hoses to start flaking and leaking and our house in only three years old. We need a replacement hose for the hand held shower fixture, but
I am afraid to buy the same product. They show a "stretch" hose but I'm not sure about that. Be aware the paint will flake off and the hose will start leaking.

Finish peeling
I do not recommend this product. This came installed in our brand new house. Less that 3 years in, it is peeling on the hose. Thought Delta was a high quality brand. Guess not.

Finish failing after 6 months, AVOID!!!
We bought an entire bathroom of Delta faucets, and the shower handle hose started failing after 6 months. It flakes off in various places, not only in places of frequent bending. Worthless, avoid at all costs! See other similar reviews.

Can the U495D-SS60-PK be used where I have a RP64157SS hose today, are the fittings the same?

How long can this model be and are both ends brass connectors

Will this hose work with 57014-RB. I noticed this has one conical and one hex and the 57014-RB has 2 conical. Will it still work?
Hi ebart, Thank you for your question. The U495D-RB-PK hose can be used with the model 57014-RB slide bar hand shower. Attach the conical end of the hose to the hand shower and the hex end to the wall elbow or shower arm that provides the water supply.

Can I purchase the rubber tube insert only? Mine has a tear in it, however the outer shell is in fine condition.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the inner rubber tube is not a replaceable part on it's own.We recommend to replace the entire hose assembly if the rubber tube has a tear.

We have hard water and our champagne bronze hose is encrusted with minerals. How do I clean it and with what product?

Thank you for your question. Soaking the hose with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and warm water for about 15 minutes will help remove mineral buildup. Rinse it off and wipe with a soft cloth after soaking it.

will this tarnish like a living brass?

Thank you for your question. The Delta U495D-PB60-PK Hand Shower Hose Assembly should not tarnish. We do recommend to clean with a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water solution. This can be soaked for an hour or even overnight to clean the hose assembly.

I have bought the In2ition model, but it has a plastic hose. Can it be replaced with this one easily?
Hi loreli89, Thank you for your question. You can use the U495D-RB60-PK stretchable metal hose on your model 75588RB In2ition showerhead. Use the conical nut for the hand shower connection and the hex nut on the end that connects to the fixed portion of the showerhead. Be careful to not over tighten the hex nut.

I don't like the look and feel of the plastic hose that comes with 144710 but it has two conical ends, can I use the metal hose?

I see a lot of reviews regarding this products poor coating quality and that a lot of the products are flaking. Is this something in the manufacturing that has been addressed? Do you have other options in a matte black finish?

The Delta U495D-PB60-PK hose is universal. It will fit all Delta Hand Showers.
Delta Hand Showers do not have cartridges inside of them and the flow restrictors inside of them are not replaceable.

The Delta Faucet part RP64157SS Hand Shower Hose & Gaskets - 69" UltraFlex® In Stainless measures 69" and has a flex hose. Unlike the U495D-SS60-PK hose, which has one conical end, the RP64157 has 2 conical ends.
