Premium Price, Poor Product
I purchased the entire Delta Pivotal set in 2022. It’s an expensive product line, so I expected much better durability. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the black finish started peeling after just a few months. Then in 2025, the hose began leaking everywhere. I contacted Delta to try to get a replacement part, but because I couldn’t produce the original receipt, they refused to help. While I understand it’s my responsibility to keep receipts, I always believed Delta stood behind defective products—especially for a premium-priced line. Apparently that’s no longer the case.
Now I have to pay for a replacement hose that appears to have the same design flaw. If Delta would like to stand behind their product, I’d certainly welcome them reaching out to resolve the issue. Otherwise, after this experience, I’ll be avoiding Delta products in the future.

This is the second of our Delta hoses to start flaking and leaking and our house in only three years old. We need a replacement hose for the hand held shower fixture, but
I am afraid to buy the same product. They show a "stretch" hose but I'm not sure about that. Be aware the paint will flake off and the hose will start leaking.

Finish peeling
I do not recommend this product. This came installed in our brand new house. Less that 3 years in, it is peeling on the hose. Thought Delta was a high quality brand. Guess not.

Finish failing after 6 months, AVOID!!!
We bought an entire bathroom of Delta faucets, and the shower handle hose started failing after 6 months. It flakes off in various places, not only in places of frequent bending. Worthless, avoid at all costs! See other similar reviews.

What is the thread so I can connect it to an existing hose as an extension? Or in other words, what kind of male-to-male adapter do I need? I already have a Trinsic wand on a flexible hose. Thanks.

My shower head has a stop water function water pressure blew the hose off the end of the hand held shower head. Is this hose capable of holding water pressure....like a garden hose sprayer does?

This hose is used with our hand showers that have a pause feature which reduces the flow to a trickle. However, we have not tested the hose with a hand shower with a positive shut-off.

Is the hose described as black stainless finish painted? Is this the one that flakes?

The hose is stainless steel material and the KS finish is a PVD finish. PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a process used to create a very durable, corrosion and tarnish resistant finish

Can I join two of these together for a longer hose?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet U495D-SS60-PK.
Both hose ends have female threads. They are not designed to be joined together. We don't currently carry an adapter for joining two female 1/2" shower threads.

I currently have this hose at 60 inch. I want to extend it to 90 inches. How do I do that?

How do you stretch the hose out? Is there a video available?

Thank you for your question, I would be happy to help.
Sometimes in packaging the hose can stiffen a bit, we would recommend a few steps:
1) Lay the hose down in the shower, and run very hot water through it.
2) after a min or two, run very cold water through the hose.
3) after a min or two turn the water off and leave the hose laying down for another min or two.
