Q&A

Differences with Model 50560?

I'm planning to buy an Addison Delta Shower, and I want a hand shower also added. What would be best for this purpose? The Wall Supply Elbow Model U4980-PK or the 50560? What is the difference between these two? Thank You!
Asked by: Ana
Hi Ana, Thank you for our question. The model 50560 and U4980-PK are both curve designed wall elbows with 1/2" inlets and outlets. The difference is only a matter of styling and finish availablity. Thanks, Dave

Rough in requirements

When installing the nipple that this elbow will connect to, how far past the finished wall surface should the nipple extend? Thx
Asked by: Brian
Hello Brian, Thank you for your question on the Delta Wall Supply Elbow for Hand Shower and I am pleased to assist you with this today. To install this wall elbow, apply plumber's tape to threaded ends of 1/2" (13 mm) iron pipe nipple (which is not supplied) and thread into the shower riser elbow so that nipple extends past the finished wall no more than 1/2" (13 mm) and no less than 1/4" (6 mm). I hope this information is helpful! Please feel free to give us a call at 800-345-3358 if we can help with anything going forward. Have a wonderful day, Brandy Delta Faucet Company Customer Service

I have an older version on this product that the hose has some type of specialty connection and the threads for the hose broke off inside of the wall supply. We are trying to replace the elbow but are unable to get the existing one off. Help!

Asked by: Mikaykay1338
Hi Mikaykay1338, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model U4980-PK. Our hand shower hoses and wall elbows use a standard size 1/2" threaded connection. This wall elbow would be installed to a threaded pipe nipple. Uninstall the elbow by turning counterclockwise. Insert a #2 Philips screwdriver into the outlet all the way to help turn the elbow. Please contact us directly if you have any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

Asked by: russell johnosn
Hello Valued Customer. Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! No, our U4980-PK does not have separate parts to purchase. The U4980-PK would need to be replaced. We appreciate your inquiry. Can I install this in addition to a regular showerhead with some time of diverter?

Asked by: AmyJane
Hello AmyJane, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! Yes the Delta U4980-SS-PK wall elbow would need a diverter to be used in addition to a showerhead. For example, the T11876-SS diverter trim with R11000 valve rough. Best regards, Bryan
